the versions of the ships you see in other Star Wars games, ain't per definition the 'real' versions.

From my point of view, only the ships you see in the movies are the 'real' versions (except for the ones they say that modified, such as the Millenium Falcon).

So devs from each SW game get the chance to make a modified type of ship.

but i do agree that the devs from SWG could have been a little more creative with this ship, because come on, every POB ship we have looks the same (apart from its exterior), if you know what i mean.

Have you a full suit of Mando armour and a jetpack, cause thats easier to get than the new ship!

I wonder if you can buy it from someone? (Is it like the B-22?)

All the people complaining its not like the Outrider and saying the devs don't know they're star wars need to think about what they're saying. The Outrider was at least as heavily modified as the Falcon was, this included the floor plan and deck layout.

I've spoken with the dev who designed this, the Sorosub and the new Bunker house (Goliath) and he knows its different from Outrider, he's knows what that looks like, but this the best he could do in the small space he had and it was a conscious choice to make it a more simplified version of the yt-2400 layout, just like the 1300 has.

YT2400 is going to be quite nice. Expect the mission/string of quests to make the Necrosis encounter look like a walk in the park. Thems the facts jack. It's not going to be "easy" and if someone were to sell you the deed it will cost 10's of millions (at least in the short term).

My suggestion, get yourself a nice full group of your toughest guildies and start making runs on this for anyone in your guild that wants one. If you are not in a guild and want this, you're gonna need some friends for sure. Not a solo kind of thing.

A good way of looking at ToOW, general quests/missions could be considered "soloable" by some but probably require a small group. All final missions in a quest string will definately take a full group of tough toons. Thats just how it is.

Probably true, but that way I could get it without having the expansion. And hey; What else is there to do with all this money...

Then to you I suggest having some guildies go run the mission for you and pay them for their time instead of paying someone on the trade forums or a vender that will gouge you silly. /salute

Yeah, the problem with this is that more enforced grouping with more and more people fleeing for other games makes this harder and harder. The last few months have been hell on my friends list, and I do not see this improving in the future. Making content Raid only is just continuing to shoot people in the foot.

OMG, I'm sorry, but am I the only one NOT drooling over this ship?

A few things.

1. YT-2400 interior is NOT THAT BIG IN THE EXPANDED UNIVERSE!!!! Not anywhere.

2. Too big, the YT-2400 is maybe HALF the size of the YT-1300 (please people, I know some of you have played Shadows of the Empire).

3. Maybe the only thing I have positive to say about the ship is that the blueprint interior design (from the overhead map shot, thank you) is correct, it's just too roomy. Ceilings are too high, and the cockpit is WWWWAAAAAYYY too big.

4. If it's that big, might as well give it FOUR weapon emplacements and three ordnance emplacements. This is just ridiculous. Sorry, but even though it may sound like nitpicking, it's yet another reason I don't feel the need to spend 30 dollars on this expansion. If I can't feel like I am flying an authentic YT-2400, then how am I supposed to be immersed in the Star Wars experience of it? Because it doesn't exist, quite frankly.

I have to agree on all counts on this. the YT-2400 is a smaller craft by about 5.7 meters from nose to stern, but a bit longer from port to starboard so if anything the 2 craft should be similar in size. What is the deal with the ceiling height of that thing? it looks like a wookie could have a human on his sholders and there head still not touch the ceiling, that is way to damb big for a cargo transport. additionaly the cockpit is 3 times the size needed for a crew of 2.

Agreed, but it's what we have to work with considering the Dev's completely ignore the fact that this should have been a space mission instead of a ground mission that takes a full group of cl80's.

I would have rathered see some space content for sure. Too bad you're on Starsider though, I'm willing to use my toons to help people get this ship. Yes, it doesn't stick to EU and yes it's not "correct". But, it is a nice ship and will complement my personal fleet quite nicely. They ditched continuity years ago.

You might be on the other side of the fence, but let me know when you get into ToOW--there's at least four of us in the guild that have the confirmed goal of getting YT-2400s, and we'll probably need another couple people to fill out groups.
