Thread: Bottom line. Nothing like Imp Pilots

I have Aced all the piloting professions now at some point since JTL came out. RSF most recently, and nothing at all compares to the IMP navy. Seen and piloted all ships, all the new releases, nothing compares to the JSF. Running two RE Taim & Bak HT12's ntohing compares. I do not care how fast you go, One shot 7200 Max damage. Nothing lasts. I may have a low top speed, and no booster, but when was the last time you ran from a fight. Even in PVE what ship can you outrun once you hit it? I see all the debates, hot items, best ship, best piloting profession. But I have found none better for PVE or PVP.I think the three wepaon hard points in the Freelance ships is the only pro, three taim and Bak HT 12's Levels anything in three bursts head on, I can tap my Cap to its limits with WO3 and waste gunboats.I needed one IMP Ace Pilots assistance for a vette, normally could solo strictly with the bomber strike. though. Not one other piloting profession allows that kind of firepower or options for running solo and assisting others. Pirate trap is useless, repair in space is not much of a help when anything you have attacked is on u like white on rice anyway. What are your favorites? Specials? Loadouts? any reasons for not going IMP? There is little or no PVP on INtrepid, what server has Live PVP in space?

I'm Imperial to the core...but....I don't fly the JSF normally, I like the real Imperial ships. And I solo vettes without Bomber Strike, frequently relying on a small fast ship like a TIE Interceptor or Heavy TIE. I like speed over firepower/defenses.
I do miss the Freelance/rebel scumspecial IFF Scramble though.

i agree with the imp pilots being the best (and i play all three on different servers)
i have to ask... how do you do the IFF spoof as an imp? it's something i'm unfamiliar with.

You open the cockpit, stand up and wave to the enemy, yelling "no, I'm not really here, I'm your friend! The enemy went that away!!"
Then flail your arms a lot.

Uhhh, you can't IFF Scramble as an Imperial, it's a Freelance/rebel scum pilot special. That's why I miss it, I'm back to Imperial now after Pub20 fixed my badge.

IFF is great! Though I have yet to try it in PvP. don't see how it would work really.. how can you outwit another player who's already gunnin for ya?

IFF don't work in pvp since people can make chat channels i know in my server all the imp ace pilot talk in the private chat channels so that IFF is useless

It sounds like the game is no longer challenging for you.

I must say I disagree with you. Rebel is a perfectly viable Pilot Profession and seeing as Imp ships are faster and more agile, rebel pilots need to be more accurate with their firing. So, I'd say Rebel Pilot is better than imp, and we don't get a Smart Bomb like Bomberstrike or E'pulse to help take out the vette. We get harder Gunboats and have to do the Vette the hard way. And the ISD has 98 guns on it that we have to dodge, you deal with 23 on the Freedom station, even though you can't kill it at the moment.

You're missing the point. It isn't about specials. Imperials are just better, ya know. Sexy ships, cool colors, and when it comes down to it, who has more fashion? Your ugly orange flightsuit, or our snazzy black one?
