Thread: Has the engine speed curse been lifted???

Note that that does NOT say "Quantum Ion Drive," and the condition suggests that it's been relatively freshly looted (or kept off-the-radar for a LONG time). The latter is unlikely, as if something like this had existed, I'd have found out about it prior to just a few days ago.
Could the restrictions on loot engine speed been lifted? Is it now possible to loot prenerf speeds yet again? Or have they always been set this high, and is this just an overly exceptional "1 in 1000" piece?
Thoughts?

It's probably been off the radar a long time. Level 8s dont drop that high, anymore.

True, but for some reason i've been getting alot of them with really high PYR.

I only have ONE 73.5, and it's in yaw. I keep waiting for higher, and have been getting a lot of 72s.
What constitutes "high" in YOUR case?

Huh? The novaldex blackhole elite engine is in the screenshot. that name of engine does not exist on Ahazi

That's a phenomena I like to refer to as "Component Shift." Yet another bug, which has manifested itself ever since the launch of the bazaar vendor search function.
On Eclipse right now, ever since we had a maint session cycle on the 14th, the "Rayslinger" L10/RE10 blaster listing is missing. It seems to do this every time the servers are brought down. I'm sure OTHERS are missing, but seeing as the Rayslinger is one of the FIRST items listed, I noticed its absence this time around.
It's especially frustrating when it comes to the new Heavy fighters, and oft times none, only one, or only two of the three listings are given while others are wholly absent. Additionally, prior to this maint cycle, "Null Bolt" POB blasters were absent from the listings, now they're back.
The components still exist and can still be made, they just can't be found on the bazaar search, nor does manually keying a search parameter bring them up, as according to the economic system, the item doesn't exist.
Look for the Blackhole listing the first thing following the P20 reload - it'll probably be there, and something else will be gone. Yet another bug.

Hmm okay. I've never ever seen or heard of that engine before and i've seen a lot of engines in my time lol. So that engine was new to me hehe.

For what it's worth, I've never actually seen a Blackhole OR THX-1138 engine.
Ever.
So as far as I'm concerned, I think they're phantom items that MIGHT have been originally planned as reward items, but dropped and the listings were never removed.
They might very well exist in the back of the revised Total Experience Strategy Guide - lot of items in the back there I've never personally seen or heard of...like a "Windrider" booster or something like that.

This was taken just a few minutes ago - note the absence of the Rayslinger from the Weapons listing.
