Thread: RGI: Love It Or Hate It?

Having had a chance to full field test it in both PVP and PVE I have to say I love it. The roll and yaw fell a bit slower than the ETA and B-22 but it still out performs both time and time again. They are able to carry an impressive loadout and are just damn cool to look at.
I had planned on only using my RGI only for RPing and my B-22 or ETA for PVP and oppressor for PVE. However, after spending more and more time in the RGI I have re-deeded both my B-22 and ETA and fly the RGI exclusivly. I have even stopped using my Oppressor for those big missions in favor of the Teflon coated RGI.
Now if we could get a special helmet and flightsuit to go with it *wink wink nudge nudge say no more*

I'm a Rebel and I like it. It looks good, and has good mass. Although I think the hitbox size is infact bugged. Or at least I hope it is bugged lol.

Hitbox -is- bugged which probably is the reason so many imps love the ship lol

Anyway the RG TIE is so cool looking I want one, but all i get is a heavyX, well not even that as the mission is bugged hehe. Just have to proton the gits flying it as they are nearly impossible to gun down.

Just flew a buddies RG. I reallly like it. I wish it had a second weapon slot for PVE. But I am a little of a firepower geek. OBTW Don't let some pilots know you are or want to fly an RG. You will be called like I was " Dishonorable"!. Sheesh I guess it was okay for that very same pilot to change factions just to get a Jedifighter.

lol i just hate npc awings cause there so damn hard to hit, espeacilly tier 5 buggers!

Its a cheater ship! I justtook out a Tier 5 gun boat in Dath space and did not even have to use cap to shield shunt once. It just could not hit me, and there were a couple of times that my screen flashed red (like I had been hit), and took no damage on my shields. And people talk about the JSF being to strong, LOL. Having only 1 gun isn't a problem if nothing in the game can hit you!

It doesn't take a hotshot pilot to bring down a Tier5 gunboat and not get hit. Hell, you could probably do it in a starter TIE as long as you pay attention to what you're doing. Just because something can't hit you does't mean the ship is bugged. I can rip up the RSS in deep space in a standard Interceptor and not take a hit. And I know several A-wing and JSF pilots who take down the ISD daily and never get a scratch.
The rumor is thatthe RGI's hit box is "bugged". I'm nto so sure that's true. I've taken hits in both PVE and PVP and have needed to CtSS more than once to save my hide. If the RGI is harder to hit than other ships then I say good. it is supposed to be "stronger and more manuverable" as per the SWG write up on it. You didn't expect the Emperor's private escort fighters to be as easy to pop as the regular TIE scrap did you?
I don't think it's a cheater ship at all. It's like people calling you a cheater when you use missiles to take them down in PVP. Pfft. Don't stay in my window long enough for me to get a lock and you won't get dusted.

I have been saying about this for a while you know...
It's a cool ship. I'm rebel and I think they're nice...but I do wish they'd sort that hitbox out. It's ridiculous. A hit box which covers the top half of a TIE Ball cockpit and where from the sides [due to the solar panels] that hitbox is protected anyway regardless of accuracy is insane
