Thread: RGI: Love It Or Hate It?

Not to mention the description on the deed MENTIONS that it has a much smaller profile, suggesting that the hitbox may have been intended to be incredibly small to begin with.

Perhaps not as small as it is NOW, but still small.

Its a cheater ship!

Ahh no, a REAL cheater ship has:

- (censored) (censored) lvl 10 parts.
- (censored) (censored) boosters
- (censored) (censored) shields

A REAL cheater ship is uncatchable and unkillable. REAL cheater ships have existed for MONTHS.

Just setting the record straight. Theres a big difference between a bug, and a cheat. Cheats you do intentionally and go out of your way to accomplish to gain advantage. A bug is a bug, and is something out of your control. You didnt do it, you didnt have to do anything extra, or out of the ordinary, its just there. Not your fault.

Edited for grammer.

He's arguing that using any ship which can't be hit with his piloting skills is cheating

The CG interceptor is Palpatine's personal fighter escort, I highly doubt he'd be using cheap throwaway technology. As the Emperor, he's going to be using the best technology he can. And chances are, the technology that makes the CGi what it is, is probably way too expensive for mass production.

Just learn to target better.

They're actually quite tough to hit in their bugged state lol. Sans missles.

is it ever. I'm a long time Interceptor pilot and always had dreams of what I could do with just 5k-10k more mass. Then I heard that a higher mass Interceptor was going to launch with RotW and I was a kid at christmas time.

As for the bug I'm wondering if it is in fact a bug or not. has it been officially been called a bug or is it being looked at for a "fix"? I couldn't find anything on it in the knowledge base. Or is it working as intended? Maybe it's supposed to be that hard to hit since the write up on it says that the RGI is "stronger and more manuverable than a standard TIE Interceptor". Is the small hit box just how that translates over into the game? And because it's faster than but not as manuverable as the ETA or the B-22, was it made harder to hit in order to compete with those two "uber" ships? Wonder if Tomo could pick the Devs brains on this one (no hurry though )

As other people have stated the RGI should be a very hard ship to bring down. The Old Man is only going to have the best of the best escorting him.

Hitbox -is- bugged which probably is the reason so many imps love the ship lol

Don't agree, It's suppopsed to have one of the smallest profiles in the game.

I've pvp'd in mine against friends and while it takes a good pilot to hits it, it gets hit and can be brought down by someone who knows what they're doing.

The problem for those calling it a "cheater ship" is that so far the only people i know who fly them regularly are damn good pilots, almost everyone else prefers the JSF or B-22.

You want to talk about cheater ships, then address the problem of peoplestoring heavy variation ships full of RE'd high lvl parts to get thru the first 3 tiers of their next Ace.

I'm pretty sure it's bugged. If you compare the hitboxes, it's less than half the size of a JSF's lol

Depends how you measure hitboxes i suppose.

I didn't experience the upper hemisphere bug i've heard people mention, and the hits were definately registering in my duels. And i have to say red tie versus red tie duels have got to be the most fun i've had in the game in a long time.

I'll submit a ticket and see if there's any known bug, but i've yet to see it.
