I liked the advanced better and some ppl rather use the bomber then any of them and others use heavy tie fighters or JSF. I would save jsf and tie emperors guard interceptor fromt he normal grinding and use either bomber, advanced or heavy TIE. The aggressor only got oen gun forward and is just as clumsy as the bomber that has 2 guns and alot more mass.

Fein out

Advanced, and I'm rebel. I have been in the back of an Aggressor, I almost puked all over the turret. they are bad, bad ,bad. You only have to see who developed the ships. Vader developed the Adv, nuff said.

However, in the light of the ROTW scandle, the Adv, which should be a space superiority fighter, is severly outclassed by the ultra ligh fighters, as Vagolyroe from Chimaera will testify from last night. I am however, looking forward to dueling them in my X-wing, much more star warsy, than JSF's zipping round the place.

The Advanced is much better than the aggressor. However I bought the aggressor simply because I like the multi-player ships. The aggressor does handle much better than a TIE bomber.

Im currently flying a heavy but was thinking about getting either an advanced or agressor when I hit Tier 4. Judging by the answers here (Cheers to everyone that posted) the advanced is the way to go, however my next question is, is it worth getting a Tie advanced or should I just stick to my Heavy Tie?

On that one, personally I'd stick to the "heavy" and just use a stronger gun. However there is something to be said for two gun slots. I know the mass on the Heavy TIE is around 90k, but I can't remember what the mass on the TIE advance is. Anyone remember or know right off hand?

"Better" is always based on what the task is.

Personally, I do like the responsiveness of the advanced, but the aggressor can be decked out to be one mean ship. It slides like the Opp, smaller hitbox, and has a ton of mass, meaning a level 10 gun and engine are no problem on it, with a shield that can take a good beating.

despite the mass limitation, a max effort advanced will be armed heavier, more manuverable, and far more survivable than a max effort agressor.

dont knock the aggy, i flew it grinding t4 and carried it well into ace pvping with it, it maybe be big and easy to hit with only one forward gun, but you can pack alot more in it, thus for grinding id go with the aggy

The main problem I have with the agressor is that it doesn't pack enough firepower (i.e. gunpoints and misslepoints) to be a good bomber, IMO. Plus, it's not nimble enough to be a good fighter. The rear-facing turret isn't much of a bonus, in my experience. The poor gunner gets motion sick without even getting many kills.

The advanced, however, is my favorite of the Imperial fighter designs. It's our only two-gunpoint fighter with a TIE design. It's mass isn't much compared with the ROTW ships, but that just means you have to get more creative.
