Hidden in Endor are swarms of Jillion Bolts Droid Fighters. They are quick, maneuverable and they spawn fast. Even the tier 4 versions are deadly. So the question...
Who has been able to stay alive in the swarm? If so, how? Everyone I know avoids the place.

Really quick reflex and a lot and a lot of luck. I hate even the tier 2 ones, and i am now afraid of the level 4's. I didn't know they existed.

My finest hour in JTL
Got stuck in the center of it. Kept turning and rolling while blowing them up. Everytime my booster was charged I went straight toendor space station and managed to fight my way out slowly. Tremendous fun, not many places in JTLthat walk the fine line bybeing difficult enough to make me give 110% to stay alive without punishing a minor error with instant death.

i find i have little trouble with the tier 4s, but the tier 5s are pretty deadly. In my krayt, i can fight them off for a few minutes, but theyre just so fast, much more so than any a-wing.

They're teeny tiny little DROID ships...how small are you that you could fit in one?

I have flown them several times in several ships, and have no trouble.
How?
I've made several posts on "how to fly" in space....

There are no NPC spawns that can seriouslythreaten a well-equipped Ace.

I did an E-Pulse in the middle of those guys.
Bad idea. I pissed them ALL off and any that weren't interested in me before suddenly had taken quite a (dis)liking to me.
I didn't even make it to hyperspace, but I took about 4 or 5 with me...

While in Deep Space I have decent odds against up to 30 ship groups, With those Droid fighters the best I can hope for is a draw. Think A-wing speed, but 1/4 the size. IT's no fun to try to hit them.

They are actually a lot of fun, but I take them in an A-Wing with a very rapid firing level 9 gun.
My A-Wing is basically a gun with a pilot and engine attached.

The droid fighters are fast but they aren't durable. There are a couple of Rebel missions in Tier 4 that actually have you conducting operations in the same space as the Tier 5 droid fighters. They can cause havoc to any pilot trying to complete a mission. What we usually do when we assist is assign one person to divert the droid fighters and work to disable them, not destroy them. They spawn back in quickly when they are a destroyed.
All in all the DFs are not that bad to tackle. Work to disable them first, them worry about destroying them later. If you;re using an A-wing then look to match them for speed and turning... if you're flying an X-wing or Y-wing cut throttle to the sweet spot and turn to keep your sight in target. One thing you should never do is try to booster away from them in a straight line... they'll stack up real fast behind you and will be able to onload with a large salvo.
