Yeah I have been able to take them on in an awing. Its mostly tedious tho and the loot was not great tho maybe I was just unlucky. They time it took to kill them was not worth the reward tho.

The FIRST time i ran into them was a disaster I was in a Ywing and had no idea what i had flown into.

When I was doing a mission for Vortex squadron (the one where you end up in the middle of like 20 or more TIE's all around you, a handful of tier V droid figthers added into the fight. The single most annoying enemy in JtL, you can't keep them in your sights cause they fly so damn fast. What was an easy mission ended up almost killing me half a dozen times cause of those little monkeys.

I love that spawn for collecting space parts. I've stayed there for over 3 hours before- What helps is that my advanced has a top speed under booster of 1788 and that my dogfighting speed (esentially 65% fo max w/o boosters for me) is over 1000 speed. Get a fast ship and don't let people stay on your tail blasting you and you can handle an unlimited number of npcs.

Ouch yeah they are tough. Disable is your friend in this case. I would like to see these things as deployable ships as faction perks or prestiges points. In tough missions they would be handy.

Yea I think the tier 5 droid gaurdians in Endor are harder then anything in DS. They are alot of fun anyways, anyone ever see any really nice drops off them, and if so what did you get?

All I have to say is, treat them like a-wings. They are about the same. Annoying but not too terriblydifficult.

Depens on the ship. If by well-equipped you mean right ship at the right time then no. If you face those droid fighters in a large number, and you're flying a high mass low manueverability ship, you're probably going to go boom. If you've got a manueverable ship, then you should be fine. That means dunelizard, anything but a tie agressor/bomber/opressor, or an A-Wing.

We ran into them just last night. At first didn't even notice some of them were Tier5, we were 2 Xwing, one with mediocre equipment, he was out fast, and the other was a Tier3 neutral ship, we killed about a dozen Tier5 and Tier4, then all of a sudden we had like 10 on us and we had to hyper out to stay alive. But up to that point we were doing alright, they were fast, but not annoying, I'd rather fight those than Aggressors.

My TIE Advanced never had a problem in there. I haven't tried my Oppressor there lately.

They are as bad as shooting A-Wings. The good news is that if you are following one, you are as tough to hit as an A-Wing yourself.

Thats where I take pushy littleplayers who are wanting to ride coat tail, you know, leech your XP but you dont really even know them they just latch on to you and start ordering you around..

"Where do you want to hunt? Gunships? Come on hurry up!"

"Nah.. Just follow me to Endor,"I'll reply, "I know this perfect little spot...."
