and then add more components for us to swap out, maybe to keep things in check have a limit to weapons mass that is below that of total ship. but my basic idea is it would be cool to be able to upgrade things like the Hyperdrive systems(less wait time from location selection to jump, so in reality it would be the nav computer but to prevent confusion with the flight computer, im calling it the Hyperdrive), Targeting computers(more accurate ordnace, faster lockons, more distant tracking, space-mine deployment systems(bomber and POB class ships only), retro rocket systems. every ship would come with a basic hyperdrive though.

I'd agree with the new Components. More content for SW's is only a good thing, and those Idea's aren't too bad.
But the mass of ships are fine (infact a few could do with coming down).

I would like to see new components:
Hyperdrive Computers (for faster jumps)
Enhanced Targeting Systems (ala Privateer)
The ability to add weapons to a chassis (but retaining the same overall mass - example, 95k HEAVY TIE only has one mount... a SW should be able to rig it to put a second gun on it - heck, they can BUILD them, why not modify them?)

I don't think that is a good idea. I like my heavy tie and with two weapons people would probably start complaining so much about them that I'd have to switch to a different fighter.

With two weapons they would be a JSF with a slightly bigger hitbox

I totally agree with allowing people to "specialize" their ship in hyperdrive/targeting/whatever, but no on the increase in mass. Heck, they should nerf all RotW ships down to reasonableness (except for the ARC170 IMO as I don't think it's unbalanced). Just look at the B22/JSF and compare it with the AWing for example. I would just love to pilot an AWing vehicle... but the B22 is so much better that I can't turn it down...

i'd like to see the componenets but not increace the mass, if people want better equipment they should make some sacrifices
