Thread: ISD and Corvettes. MAJOR NEW BUG
I'm the poor pilot who couldn't master because of this...
It's really frustrating not to be able to master this profession now.... I hope someone fixes this quickly
Bring a buddy with 2 SpaceBomb2 Launchers. Usually 1 missle will take out a component.
(Good job staying up on this one Tomo!)

One pack of Mk III Concussions should be enough. You'll need 4 for the shields, 2 for engines, 2 for the reactor, and 1-2 for the bridge.
You know this has been a burning question of mine. See ive always used MK III Proton's. Takes 2 missles per component. But what does concussions or seismic do to it? Ive never loaded them out to try. Any of the three only do it in 1 hit with WO3?

I haven't done extensive testing, but since the components are components and not shields or armor, I think missiles do full damage to them regardless of type. This makes Mk III Concussions my favorite Vettebuster, since they've got the highest damage at the 5.5Kish mass level and you can get 11-12 per pack no problem. Usually it takes 2 to drop a component, sometimes they'll knock one down in a single shot with WO3 going.
Anyway, I know this is a major issue for us and I'll be pushing to make sure it's addressed ASAP. In the meantime, you should still be able to complete your master mission, it's just going to be a little harder.
Anyone wanna test it now? On chimaera? ![]()
Got some Mk III packs and a spare launcher if you need em

I think this was a deliberate change, subcomponents can be hit by missiles.
I don't like it.
Nor do I like the 3-7 fps in space now lol.

Doesn't anyone think that this change might be intended and a good idea?
I remember suggesting this idea so that bombers had a purpose but this is just one part of it. Before no one bothered using bombers much because you could do everything with a fighter. Now bombers (ordnance) has a defined purpose, butsince cap ships aren't really worth the trouble of locking missles anddestroying them it seems annoying. This change makes itimportant to use ordnance and just makes a small adjustment to how we have to beat the vette mission.
If they were to add a reward (agood one) for taking out the Rebel Station, ISD, or corvette's people would bemore interested in using bombers. Bomber pilots would hopefully want fighter escorts, and pvp players would have more targets to shoot at in general. Course u also need to reward fighter pilots for protecting bombers....
Like I said this is a partial improvement but with a better reward for all the additional work it requireswe won't see very much change.
Ah but right now deep space is a complete lagzone. So as far as Im concerned if this isnt a bug its a VERY bad idea. Have you been to DS since the CU?
In fact I think there may be more going on than deep space simply being overpopulated, but I cant check as I cant blow up the damn ISD.
Besides, if it were on purpose, I think even SOE would have let us know something by now. I really do think its a bug. And its one that needs fixing.

I went to DS this morning on Ahazi, it was busy but not as bad as people are describing it now.
But as far as SOE coming out and stating there is a problem in deep space... well I wouldn't hold your breath. they have a major space update on may 5th they need to prepare for any fixes to space that need to be doen will probably be rolled into that.
