Thread: If Jedi want to use FP in space.. then I want to be able to kill them as a Mark in space.

Some one already quipped that they felt they Earned the right to use thier powers in space. Fine by me. Then I have earned the right to hunt them down in space also.

space would be impossible to track them. they could just keep hypering in and out and youd never catch em.

it wouldn't be impossible... They would need to know that the BH was up in space after them in order for that to work.
But, I feel that a BH should be able to go after is Mark in space reguardless right now. Hey, they're a Jedi and that's what they chose to be. Having BH's come after you is part of the "content" of being a BH. However in order for that to happen a Jedi would have to be able to target a BH coming after them. Otherwise BH flies up to Jedi, parks his ship on the Jedi's rear with no risk, and Bam! Dead jedi, and instant pay out to BH.
That wouldn't be very cool for the Jedi, as much as I hate the prof. But it could be where if a Jedi is in Space their situational awareness needs to be worked on since they could have a BH come after them. Course the Jedi would probably just start flying either the JSF or bugged RG just so they have a chance of not losing.
But then the all important question would be asked... should Jedi lose XP in space upon dying to a BH? That would be a huge discussion I think and one I don't really want to see happen lol
So on second thought lets leave all the BH/Jedi mark garbage on the ground where it should be.

I PVP in space quite a bit. Being overt almost all the time I am always checking my radar and watching my six. The Jedi would just have to do the same and make sure to "clear" all targets. We can hit them they can hit us. They loose track or zone out at the stick kililng t2-3's and forget to cycle targets... /ooops Has happen to me in deep space and Kessel.

Oh I agree completely that if they're not paying attention then it's their fault... however should BH's be able to kill their mark in Space and a Jedi gets popped a couple times for not "paying attention" then we're going to have a huge fiasco of a crying circus on our hands here.

However, I am a smuggler and would welcome any BH to pull a mission on mewhile i'm in space

How about we just don't do either? Besides, not all Jedi are going to be Aces ... I can just see the BH boasting about killing a Jedi in a starter ship while they do the initial set of missions...

How about Jedi stay off the terms then? I don't see why this would be a issue.. stay off the terms, don't get hunted. Pretty cut and dry. But /agree the whine fest would be huge.

you know this isnt the kind of post i would usualy reply to, but this arugement always really annoyed me, one of my pilots is a jedi, he has been fully skilled and on the terms for, what 6-8 months atleast, never died to a BH, never got on the terms while grinding, did it compleatly solo in the wild. Now your telling me you think you should beable to pop up behind me in space while im in the middle of fighting something and gank me...
its true that a lot of whiney kids joined the ranks of the jedi nowadays, but a lot joined the BHs aswell, and folk like you who obviously only want to beable to gank with little to no risk to yourself are amoung the worst of the lot of them, this request as far as im concerned is just as bad as the jedi guy who posted earlier in the week, now how about we just leave this whole thing out of space which is still a fun part of this game and quit trying to bring it down to jedi v BH like the rest of the game has become.

Ummm... How is tracking you down, you having a equal opertunity to fight back .. unless your just not paying attention.. GANKING YOU? You my friend are the classic whining jedi then.. you want a free ride. You wan't to just have your jedi quick and easy and never have to worry about a thing. MBH my friend since the BEGINNING has been about hunting JEDI. Not sure why you don't understnad that. If you bring your jedi out.. then expect to be hunted by MBH... wht they where set up to do.. don't like the Jedi vs BH thing? then don't bring him out. But to cry GANK like every other jedi in the game if they loose.. well... You call my atypical.. welll right back at you. If my hunting you.. finding you .. and having the same chance at winning as you do.. is ganking then.. don't know wht to say to you. I guess 1v1 is space is a little too rough of PVP for you. If mechanicswould bethe same for BH vs. Jedi in space as on the ground, it's NOT the same chance of winning. Oh, and scanning for hostile players wouldn't pick you up either, you don't read as hostile until after you fire (and probably hit, given space mechanics). Now, is PvP with the BH guaranteed first hit and the Jedi not spotting the BH as a targeta fair fight in space? I don't think so...

you can pick at words all you want, the fact is its a compleatly different system, if you are guarenteed the first shot on me in space, you will win, and no im not a great PvPer in space, i can hold my own but like most people im not especially great at it, which is incedently the same as i would rate my ground PVP skills.
Also i cant keep a lookout for you as unless we are both overt up there you wont look like a threat untill after you have attacked me and the TEF kicks in. Which throws out the entire concept of a fair fight which you talk about so much, one thing i do know about PvP up there is planning the attack is 75% of the battle, so if the first thing i know about it is a MK II spacebome hitting me, well i guess thats fair from your perspective right? afterall i should use chaff every time a missle is fierd at me and land to restock it every time it runs out while im running duty missions.
Ofcource this would be compleatly different if jedi skills worked up there, master defender would become a requirement for pilots and would compleatly screw the entire space game, i dont think anyone can aruge with that... well actually i guess you are since this is a pre req to your idea isnt it... but what the hell, i used the word gank and i have a jedi so obviously im not out for keeping the game fun or being against an idea that would unbalance the game, imjust being the steryotypewhiney jedi that i aparently am and you can just dismiss all of this as jedi whineing and point out how i obviously cant pvp atall and am against this idea for my own benifit, right?
