Anyone heard anything on the New Advanced Recon Fighter other than the blurb that we've all seen?

I'm intersted in getting my grubby little paws on this
critter.

I am just hoping it doesn't suffer the problems of the B-Wing, which seems to just be a pig.

Woops forgot....

I'm curious what tier this will require for certification.
B-wing equivalent or Y-Wing.

It seems like either a larger version of the Y-wing or perhaps a B-wing equivalent. Dunno, just theorizing. =)

No but what I've seen from the cartoons is that it's a 3 man fighter- Pilot, Rear Gunner, middle Gunner. Looks pretty cool I have a feeling it will be a Rebel Ship though. I think the new ships should be available to all IMO

Man I hope not. That would suck in a big way for me. Of all the new ships, that's the only one that really interests me. I dropped Freelance to go Rebel specifically to fly the Y-Wing.

In some ways I don't care about the performance characteristics, every ship has its mission. If I'm that worried about performance, I'll run the A-wing.

I just think that the ARC 170 is cool as hell and would be fun to run with a couple of buddies onboard.

I hope it isn't a total pig maneuverability wise, but I get the feeling even if it is it will make up for that in mass and weapons loadout possibilities.

Anyone heard if there are going to be new ship weapons and components as part of RotW?

Im thinking it will be a freelancer ship unless they have more ships their not showing us because they redid some imp and reb ships, but who knows.

Most likely all 3 will be open for all I think. Or with the newwer rebel and Imp ships coming in (note that both sides have 3 'upgraded' craft) they will make the new ones for Freelancers. Still never know, even on the Rage of the Wookiee's new ship list they did put 'some' of the new ships. Guess we have to wait and see.

At the beginning of Episode 3 you should see clone troopers flying around in the ARC against the Separatists. At that point the ARC is a Republic ship which pre-dates the rebels but not by much. It'll be interesting to see who does end up with it.

Rebels flying ARC-170....... bull. I mean hello, that ship was under old republic when it was close to becoming empire which happened. (reading episode 3 book, ARC-170 was still in use till sienar fleet systems came up with better ships). really think adding that is gay, most were scrapped.

As a freelancer I would like to have new ships with the expansion however I think the ep3 ships should be for all. I do want to fly the Arc 170.

Umm my vote goes like this.

ARC-170 = Rebel. (They do have the least amount of ships)

Greivous and Jedi Fighter = Everyone

My opinion (not that it matters). Getting an upgraded fighter (strakes on Ties, X-wings and Z95) that it has more mass is not the same as receiving a new fighter.

In PvP maybe but it rules in PvE. The gun setup makes aiming a breeze when compared to other ships.

As for the topic at hand, these new Ep3 ships will likely be usable by all factions. However, if only one faction were to gain access to them then I'd have to say that the ARC would likely end up Rebel, Grievous' ship would likely be Freelance and the ETA-2 would either be Imperial or Rebel. The last one is kind of a toss-up because I don't see the Empire straying away from their conformist designs.
