This is about the new Jedi Starfighter, and a screenshot of it shooting out lightning...

Anyway, it looks like its shooting out lightning...don't know if this has been brought to your attention before, but I might as well bring it here now.

Dangit! You're right! I was really hoping you just misunderstood and maybe it was flying through a nebula... Since thats not the case, all I can presently do is hope that it's not Force Lightning or some other lame "Jedi Force" attack. I mean, you can make the arguement that they had better "piloting skills" (not that I buy that) but I mean come on, in which movie did a Jedi ever fire Lightning out of their ship?

If you look at the lightning it is coming from a weapon. Maybe a new weapon?

Are you guys sure that isn't the Nebula Blast (tm) special ability that no Imp in his right mind would use? Though it could be a new weapon...

Nah, Nebula Blast looks kinda like EPulse, it radiates out from your ship(and you have to be in a nebula too).

Hmmm... new weapon? Not sure man, I'm a little curious is we're about to see a new profession/hybrid prof of Jedi Pilot.

Maybe there's going to be some new quests to get schematics, something like run new missions for Pal at the Emporers Retreat to get schematic for Royal Guard TIE Intercepter. Or Some new quest for Jedi to get space specials...

All I can hope is that any Jedi specials in space are just as useless as the specials we all have now.

Looks like a new weapon graphic, I like it. That picture really brings out the Jedi fighter being a predecesor to the TIE - the bubble wing, the easily seen solar panel on the wings. I hadn't thought up of the other pictures seen of it, but this picture I actually like. Doh, one more ship to add to my personal fleet.

Hehehhe.. personally, the grievous ship and the Jedi starfighter just don't appeal to me. On the other hand.. that Arc-170... Sweeeeettttt!!!!!

There's an ion cannon that fires blue lightning beams, then launches a ball at the tip of it. Could be that.
But I am thinking that's a weapon. I have a feeling if it was Force Lightning the effects would be coming from the cockpit, not the weapons.
I can only hope, though.

I agree with Zeon, I think it's a freezeframe on an Ion Bolt effect. Possibly a new color, but doubtful a whole new weapon. That is the ship they described as really tiny tight? Good explanation for the relative size of the bolt to the ship.

Made it before all hell broke loose.

Well it could very well be that in the movie we see it firing some kind of lightning attack, so they might have just brought that into JTL with it.

I think we're all in agreement about the basic idea, though - as long as its not some Jedi-only ship or Jedi-only skill, whatever it is is OK
