Thread: Ehem... (stupid question?) What is the difference between Master and Ace Pilot?
No difference. Some peeps call it master because of the last box in the tree, the master box. Other's call it ace because you have reached the hight of your proffesion.
Happy Flying. ![]()
If you've mastered a squadron pat yourself on the back for a job well done.
Too many elitist snobs flying unfortunatly.
According to the X-Wing novels, you become an Ace when you get 5 kills in combat. Which would be equivalent to getting 5 PvP kills without dying.
Though soloing the Kessel missions has a fair distinction between "Earning" your ace wings or just limping your way to Master.

Edit: Epulse and RGI kills would NOT count.

I would say an ACE has either
1. Completed all 9 pilot professions
or
2. Is regarded as an Ace by OTHERS in PvP.

Can't agree with that, I could ace all 9 squadrons but won't beacuse I RP and don't want to fly for the Empire. That doesn't mean I'm less skilled.
Hence the "Either 1. or 2." bit.
