I really gotta say this, why on earth do I have to round around on the ground for a Space Ship.

YT2400 quest isshaping up to be the most hated quest in the new expansion, what a load of tripe

i've been away for a bit (playing coh, because i got tired of waiting for the smuggler revamp). is this true that the yt2400 is quest based? not happy about that at all (putting it mildly). and the fact that the quest is also ground based is pretty much the stupidest thing i've ever heard.

the yt2400 is a more up to date model than the yt1300, and should be easier to get if anything. running around on a lava/jedi/prequel nonsense planet is not my idea of fun.

i am very glad i cancelled my pre order in time, as this ship was my only reason for getting it.

yep, its gorund based, supposedly harder than the DWB.

it's not harder than the dwb but you really need to know what your doing down there and your gonna need a full group to do it. kinda crappy i know. but since the quest is what it is , i have to admit when you see one you know what the person had to do to get it.

Yeah too bad the 2400 is supposed to be more common than the 1300 at this point in the timeline. (I know, I know, I broughtup continuity...)

I have no intention of running around Mustafar trying to get a glorified YT. My pilot toon is a crafter and since there is nothing of any real value for a SW in the expansion, I don't intend to buy it for that account. The fact that it's non-tradable and the quest is like DWB means that my combat toon couldn't use it yet even if I wanted to waste my guildies time doing the quest. I'm not going to ask people to babysit me through a quest that has no payoff for them as ground-pounders. I've already got a YT so what would be the point?

Personally, I have zero intention of buying this expansion until the issues we have been experiencing in space and with the Y8 are fixed. Which means I will likely never be buying another expansion. It really pisses me off that the Y8 window problem seems to goes away if you bought ToOw. If that's true and buying the expansion ends up being the only fix, I may just move on altogether. Other than my guild, there is little reason for me to play this game without space content and at this point, I'm sick of mining invisible rocks and fighting invisible ships. On the ground, I've done grevious so many times even HE'S bored. I've got Bels out the yingyang and now the only thing in that expansion that I was even remotely interested in is effectively inaccessible to the toon that could use it. And the SW scheme? A L7 reactor that gens 18000? BFD. I can do almost as well with a good RE. I ain't paying $30 for that.

So, I'm going to finish my miningthengive space a rest for awhile in the hope that SOE will pull it's collective head out of its buttocks and fix the issues. Maybe do all the quests with my combat toon that I've been meaning to do. At least the ones that work. After that, if there is no fix, I'm likely throwing in the towel.

And no, you can't have my stuff...

I have to admit that the quest for the YT-2400 really makes no sense. There's nothing about it in the story line, just that the main baddie at the end drops it. I was also a little miffed that it's non tradeable however, after thinking about it a little more, and completing almost all the quest for it (I think I'm on the last part) It struck me that when you see one of these in space you will definately know that the person flying it REALLY earned it and didn't just buy it off someone.

Just one other thing. I am glad we got a new ship. My 1300 has just never felt up to snuf with the Novas and decimators. It will ne nice to get something with a little better interior.

Also, the expansion is worth more then just the ship. One of my guildies ALWAYS whines about SOE and even he had to admit that they had done a good job on this expansion.

My 2 credits - I don't mind the idea of seeing one in space and knowing the guy flying it really worked for it,butI would be more impressedif that person flying the ship really earned it in space. Since ground and space are almost two different games, it would make more sense to earnany rare/cool space stuff in space.

Woah, no idea where you go that from, but I have the bug on both my accounts, despite having ToOW on both of them.... I highly doubt having the expansion FIXES the bug, that's what caused it in the first place.

Can I ask, who out of the people posting against the ground based mission for the YT-2400 flies or owned a B-22? And, did you do Necrosis, or did you buy it? Either way, you got a decent ship without entering space to get it.

Frankly, I don't give a flying fig if you have to do this quest on the deck. It's another POB ship that we can all fly, if roumors are correct, it will also give the Freelamcers the extra missile point they have craved. I like the ship and will be doing the quest. At least we have some new content where you get a nice reward, and you need a decent group of mates with you to get it, rather than walking a Wookiee ir an AT-ST around Kash and Dathomir to gte an overpowered ship.

I have done both Necrosis and Actis missions and I still really resent the idea of excluding any crafting type people from getting the ship.

I have no doubt that my crafting toon at CL1 is gonna have any chance of getting through the quest sequence for the ship and lets face it a rather large amount of low lvl crafting type people enjoy space as they can become a Master Pilot.

Space ships should be earned in space not on the ground.

Well at least we don't have to worry about ecessive YT-2400s in space... whew

I'm both glad and kinda mad.. mad because I really want one and glad because I was worrying about it being the only ship people fly.
