Shadowfire has always been a nice hometown server and my entier SWG life is there. However, I don't do any ground PVP, and there isn't much going on in space. I'm looking to create a new toon to be used exclusivly as a pilot and I'm looking for the server that has the highest JTL population and maybe some guilds/fighter wings. Ideally I'd like to hook up with an Imperial guild who has an organized squadron and/or wing. I regularly patroll all sectors (not just DS and Kessel) and never fly covert. My ship of choice is my Advanced for day to day duties, but I use my Interceptor for hardcore PVPand my Opressor to help lower tier pilots get through missions.
Shadowfire has some amazing pilots but because we have such a small population it's hard to get all of those pilots in the same place at the same time for some good PVP. I've heard that there are some servers out there that are THICK with pilots and that space has overts 24/7. If you live on one of those servers please let me know. I'm not leaving Shadowfire behind but I do need some action.
Thanks in advanced /salute

hrm. I'm partially biased, but Starsider has an excellent JTL showing.
read here for more info: Starsider really is the unofficial JTL server...
to my knowledge, there's an excellent Imperial guild for space, think it's the 121st or something like that, unsure of who to contact for that though, as I'm not Imperial. Maybe TomoRainer knows

Naithan is head of the 121st, which is the premier Imperial squadron on Starsider.
There's several good Rebel units, too, and of course I'm biased towards my own, the RSPA. (Contact Cody in-game for flight stuff; the guild leader is Richardii btw.)

Ooo, he (Naithan) got me in my x-wing once, heh. It was my first PvP experience in space though (if I recall correctly), and he said I disabled him, so at least I was paying attention and didn't make a fool of myself

Naithan is leader of the 121st, and Morgan' is his second, so contact them for more info I would say.
There are other Imperial Squadrons and guilds around though
On Starsider there usually is at least 1 "organised" pvp event per week, which usually involves 10-20 people on both sides, and you will find quite some pvp outside that as well.

Both sides on Starsider have a few studly fighter wings. The 121st is definitely the rallying point on the Imperial end, and you can either contact Naithan in-game or I can answer questions here (I'm a lieutenant
).
As far as the server itself goes, I'd say we have the most space PVP you can find. We run organized battles every weekend (tend to be about 20 per side; sometimes more, sometimes less) and there's a modest amount of overts flying around on a daily basis. I wouldn't promise that you'll always be able to find a fight, but there are plenty of overt pilots flying around most days and you should be able to find some action if you stick with it a while.
Our next battle will be this Saturday. If Starsider sounds interesting, I'd recommend working up to at least 2/2/1/1 and checking it out, though we're not gonna turn you away even if you're flying a Light Duty TIE. We've had low-level TIEs in our wing plenty of times before.

Might look up the 121st myself. Need a home for an Imperial pilot. (Rebel and Free Lancer are on Chilly)

Starsider it is. Spent a few hours there today getting my toon set up. met a few very nice people also. Thanks for the info on the 121st. I'm only 1211 right now and will probably look into the 121st once I am able to be of some assistance.
I also set up an Imperial Pilot chat channel (Starsider/Chat/ImperialPilot) to help pilots network, get help with missions, set up groups, talk shop, drop a dime on overt rebs
and so on. Please spread the word about this channel. We have the same pilot channel on Shadowfire and it has been a valuable asset for both rookie and Ace pilots.
Thanks again Starsider. I look forward to flying with you.

You know I have been jonesing for some real space PvP for a long time. Once I get back home to my computer I am going to have to look you guys up. The space PvP on Gorath is like zero.
