Thread: Pilot Looking For Some Action On A New Server

You know I have been jonesing for some real space PvP for a long time. Once I get back home to my computer I am going to have to look you guys up. The space PvP on Gorath is like zero.
i've only been on Starsider for about 2 days and all I do is work on getting Ace (2212 so far). And I can tell you that while I'm up there doing duty mission after duty mission, I have seen more players out and about in space then I ever have on Shadowfire.
My toon on Starsider will be a pilot ONLY. I don't plan on grinding any ground professions (I say that now but I'll probably break down and get master pistols once I get sick of being attacked by Thugs). I read the post about Starsider being the Unofficial JTL server. If everyone from the lite JTL servers comes over just to pilot, then Starsider might become the Official JTL server. Imagine the space lanes thick with pilots on patrol! Imagine the epic dogfights and massive battles for the reb space station and the ISD!!! Imagnie the lag!!! ![]()
Starting all over again really sucks but starsider gets a big thumbs up rom this old pilot. /salute Starsider

I can only say from our space battles, that JTL does not have much lag during large scale battles. Only thing that is slow to calculate for the client seems to be many nebulas and hits on capital ships. Both is only graphical lag... I guess these two are rendered by the CPU and not by your graphic card who usually specializes on stuff like that.

Good point. I almost always lag when I'm in or around a nebula. But I also lag really bad in DS in some spots. One of these days I'll join the 21st century and get something better than dial up

Most of us live in a network of caves in south Texas. On the bright side we just got fire a few days ago so that's nice. And our leader, Lothar, has promised us our own written language. Not going to hold my breath on that one. If I had a river rock for every time Lothar said we were getting a written language I'd be the richest guy in the villiage.
Hah!
Did your father hunt Stegasaurus with your grandfather in their saber-tooth tiger skins?
And I bet the fire is an excellent backdrop for your computer screen

And I bet the fire is an excellent backdrop for your computer screenI can see it now: Grunting, dirty savages, spears stacked against the wall, clubs all over the hay-strewn floor. Grime coating the walls from the soot of the new fire-pit, along with spattered grease covering the hands of everyone from spit cooking that last venison meal. All over your keyboard! Grease on your keyboards you damn dirty apes! Staring with feeble minds at the slow loading speed of 56k. *sigh* Now, *those* were the good ol' days.
