Thread: Best mining ship
it usually have a mass of 190K and 3 WeaponSlots. Highdamage weapon, tractor and Mininglaser III fit perfectly next to great engine/Shield and capacitor.
Ofcourse thats not far from the Heavy X-Wing, if you are rebel.. and this one will handle alot better than the Rixy.
I use this ship as well only i use 3 level 3 mining lasers to make quick work of it ![]()
I've found that even with the 3 mining lasers i can easily dispatch even level 4 bandits and it make mining alot faster
I use a krayt with two mark 3 lasers and a tractor beam. (freelance ship)

Personally after trying a few different setups, I went with my Krayt, and I usually bring along a turret gunner to help out with another mining laser, or the tractor beam.
One of the really nice things about this is that I've got two experimental blasters loaded on it, in addition to the tractor beam or second mining laser. So I'm not totally defenseless out there while I mine.
I use a Belbullab with a good PYR engine and 2 Mark III Mining Lasers. They do the same damage as a Heavy Blaster and there is a MkIII Proton to back it up in case of Tier 4 or 5 bandits. It's a very nimble ship so I don't need a tractor beam to get all the chunks quickly.
It's essentially comparable in performance to the JSF but can be used by all factions - and I got a hell of a bargain on it at 150k.

two mining lasers on either wing.
L10 cannon in the tail.
Aims a little tricky but once you get the hang of it, you got everything you need.
I can fill my 1550 hold in about 10 minutes (as noted above, pending NPC interruptions)
bwing
gun1 is a level 10 re'd cannon
gun2/3 are mark 3 minining lasers
gun4(tail) is the tractor beam
i can fill a large hold in about 10 minutes with this setup
