Thread: Please reduce the Eta-2 Actis Interceptor's superior abilities.
You know, as amusing as your personal attacks on me are, try and keep to the topic at hand. This isn't about who's better than who, or how "leet" you are, or how I or anyone else needs to go get "skills"; especially seeing as you don't know me, have never seen me fly, and have nothing to base your assumptions of my abilities on, you have absolutely no right to be claiming I can't aim, just as those previous posters who assumed I was using a low-grade engine had no right to their claims.
This is about the Eta-2 Actis Interceptor, and how it has too many attributes in it's favor with no negative attributes. If the only argument you can make is, "Oh, well you don't know how to fly" or "Your equipment must be horrible", then just SAVE IT. If you've got a comment to make about the performance of the Eta-2 in comparison to the other ships available, both pro and con, go ahead and share it. Personal flames are just ridiculous.
And now that MY personal flame is finished, let the thread resume.
Ok, guess thats my bad. Pros and Cons I can do, I am just used to flaming people who complain about stuff.
Pros:
1. Excellent manuverability as comparable to the A-Wing and TIE Inteceptor. I havent flown any Nuetral Ships so I can't compare.
2. Two Blaster Slots and Two Ordance Slots. More powerful then most Imperial Vessels, but the X-Wing would not this thing out of the water.
3. Ninety Thousand mass as compared the A-Wing Sixety-Six Thousand mass, and the lesser TIE Interceptor around Fiftey Thousand.
4. Small Profile which alows it to be hit less.
5. EVERYONE who is anyone can get a Jedi Starfighter, you just must be Imperial, Your rank shouldn't matter, because its just a rank, I've surrendered Colonel twice, went from Rebel to Imperial twice, just to get perks and Master Pilots.
6. Everyone can fly it, any profession can pilot it, as with the Grevious and ARC170, but you must be Imperial to get it.
7. High Speed Capability, explains itself, no penalty on Engines Max speed really, very small.
Cons:
1. Ninety Thousand Mass, as compared to some ships in that Tier that were added recently, the Vaksai, Royal Guard Interceptor and Advanced X-WING. One-Hundred Eighty Thousand Mass on Heavy X-Wing, Three Gun slots and Two Ordance Slots makes it an Insane mass of power. It handles decently as compared to the JSF, but has a larger Profile. Again, Components make a big difference there.
2. JSF is only attainable ONCE, so if yours blows up, and goes down to zero hitpoints, well I don't know what would happen, but I would hate to see that on my ship.
For the Jedi Starfighters power, I believe it should be a Master Pilot Ship, and craftable by rare schematic, such as the Firespray only, as should all of the new quest ships. Us shipwrights need some love here, losing business to these ships now a days. As with the Grevious ship, you should of included, more people fly the JSF, because of the blinding Engines on the Grevious fighter.
I am limited to the Reactor power I can use because of the low mass. I have no level Nine components in my JSF, nor do I have level Eights, perhaps RE'ing will come in the future, but my JSF has a Mark III Reactor, Shield, Capacitor Booster and Armor, and Mark IV Engine, Droid Interface and Weapons. I craft my own stuff, so I make it fit.
But once I regrind Rebel, I have a feeling I will be using my X-WING, and B-WING more because of the Insane amount of Weapons on those two vessels. I can put all Level IV ship components on my Heavy X and some nines on the B, big difference between the two when your going against some things in PVE, PVP is quick either way, you get caught with one shot your dead with the weapons ACE's carry around.
Well, there was plenty more Pro's then cons, but hell, I think the heavy X has no cons to it, its just a massive machine.

OK. Space is not based onwhich template bestsothers, but who can fly and aim the best. JSF or not, if you got the right equipment, the right set of droid chips, and the right KNOW-HOW to fly a ship, you are unstopable in pretty much any tier IV-Master Ship. People say Firesprays are a huge target. I am going to play around with it, engines all that other stuff, and I will try it out in PVP. Space PVP consists of 2 shots and your dead, so whether your flying a JSF ora Firespray, if you aim properly, you win, end of story. This guy is whining because he can aim for shiz. Ive seen Master Pilots who aim worse than me at 1-2-2-1 Rebel Pilot in my noob Z-95. Who the hell knows how he got up to master with that horrible aim, but not my problem.
People seriously have to stop complaining about things, especially ships you can easily get. I mastered Rebel Ace, wanted a Jedi starfighter, so I mastered Imperial Ace, and grinding rebel again. Nuff said, stop biZtching.
I plan on using my Advanced Xwing in PVP because of the extra gun and 90k extra mass to do whatever I want with it. Each faction has a ship they can get, the Grevious Fighter flies EXACTLY like the JSF IMO, so go get a group, go kill grevious or buy a grevious ship for 500k or something.
Complaing brings nerfs, thus the CU, Space combat is fine, two shots your dead, thats the way it should be, quick and painful.
You really want to get into detail, JSF should only be piloted by Jedi, I mean, it is called "JEDI" starfighter, chassis name is Interceptor, in the books its called the Jedi Interceptor, in the movies its called the JSF.
Dont bring complaints in here about stupid things, think about your skills, before you complain about ships being overpowered.

I've killed Interceptors and A-Wings. They do not compare to a JSF.
My A-wing does...depends on the pilot htough I guess.
Plain and simple, the JSF looks dumb. I have a lot less against the RG TIE and it's uber small hitbox because well..at least it fits in the timeline kind of. In my oppinion, if we're going to have uber stat ships, they should make that heavy X-wing into a Heavy A-wing...so it's on par with the RG TIE and leave it at that. The Vaksai seems fine to me. What we have then is three factional ships with single weapon slots, good manouverability and a whole lot of pvp lovin'.
The RG TIE is lightyears ahead of the JSF pvp wise. Excellent manouverability, wider weapon spread, smaller hitbox [in fact next to impossible to touch at times].

Just had to say... It's a strange day when someone can list 90K mass as a CON.
Personally, I think 75k mass tops would be more than enough for a single weapon slot ship. I'm doing fine with 66k, maybe 70k would allow me to get a little more power for my punch, but otherwise 90k mass for a two weapon slot, dot of a fighter with uber manouverability is excessive and to be honest, not needed.
