Thread: RotW Bugs/Issues (Updated 5/11)
The beams of the quest reward tractor beam installed in weapon slot 4 of the Krayt are only visible in 3rd person mode, nothing to be seen in 1st person mode. It still is functional though, just invisible.
I have yet to test other weapon slots.
Same issue with the tractor beam on the KSE - have only tried it in weapon slot 2 so far (middle of ship) and will try it on slot 1 soon enough.
as a ground imperial, and an rsf pilot, i should still be able to attack imperial ships
i was helping out a friend on a mission and he had to destroy some TIE's. they had a white box around then to me, and when i shot at them they turned red. but all i got was the ding "cannot dmg" sound
Server: Bria
/findfriend is no longer working in space
Also, my YT-1300 is having issues as always. I have posted this numerous times:
If I boost and the booster expires two things happen:
1) My stick reverses from the normal setting while the booster rests from full booster speed to full engine speed. (where up was down, and down was up; left was left and right was right it becomes: up is up, down is down, left is right and right is left. HELLO? lol) PLEASE FIX
2) My ship comes to a FULL STOP when the ship reaches full engine speed after the booster completely expires. It then starts from 0 and goes to where the throttle is set to. This happens no matter where the throttle is set to, be it 50% or 100% etc.

Seems the corvette in the red tie mission randomly blows up.
Same with the new Black Sun ship mission. Got until the last wave with the gunboat and after 2 seconds of firing at the gunboat the corvette blew up without a single(or only couple) hit.

What makes you think you should? No RSF pilot since beta has been able to, and this is as intended.

ARC-170
Bug: Some of types of guns do not display correctly on the ship model (Gyrhil 72 Twin Autoblasters and Rendili FG1-A Blaster tested). The positioning seems to be off center (one gun is in the middle of my wing, the other is floating off in the middle of nowhere). When firing shots, they do come from the correct gun positions (wingtips) it's just the weapon display that's bugged.
Surrendered Alliance Ace Pilot and picked up Imperial Pilot, now I've got -1million Rebel Prestige and over -100000 Starship Combat experience... it could be related to double xp week, though the code should have been taken out already since it double xp ended 2 days ago
Reiken Kaulinar
Alliance Ace Pilot x2/ TKM/ Master Smuggler
So, I removed the boosters, and put in different ones. No dice.
I bought a brand new ship, deeded it, loaded it up with entirely different parts and guess what? Can't boost.
- LAG
Since CU went to test center, server-side lag and AI behavior on positional update has been, quite frankly, unplayable in many areas and situations.
It has gotten severely worse since RotW went live.
Kashyyk space is the worst culprit. - Poor Development Forethought
The Kashyyk space design was implemented with all the elements players have made adamantly clear cause lag.
Large, dense nebulae.
Combat taunts which cannot be turned off.
Large asteroid feilds and moveable/collideable space debris.
Heavy NPC presense.
This leads to issue #1 being two to three times worse in Kashyyk space as anywhere else. - Red Guard TIE mission bug/design flaws
'Nuff said. - Sith Fighter (Vader's personal relic) Mission spawns
Waypoint is static, and failed mission objectives remain loaded.
This allows that the Imperial spawn for your mission immediately is attacked by / attacks the previous mission's hostile NPCs, in some cases causing mission failure, as your mission team is destroyed facing twice the hostiles (or more) than it was meant to face --- while you are unable to fire upon said targets.
Also, on the ground portions, mission targets spawning in poor locations (un-walkable areas, inside objects, et al) - CU/RotW HUD changes
Targets all now have a box surrounding them, in the case of hostiles, a red one.
Mission targets have a small, imperceptible yellow box inside a large red box.
This renders mission targets *nearly* indistinguishable from non-mission hostiles. (especially at a glance in heavy combat)
Why was this change made? It was neither asked for nor needed.
Pretty, but is there an option to set ui to the previous format?
(Personally, I believe it is also adding to the lag problems, as boxes are drawn for all targets regardless of range). - Ace Medals!!!!
I personally feel that regardless of current faction, we should be awarded a medal for each faction/squadron we have earned the Ace/Master title for.
However, that is not the case.
I have completed Smuggler's Alliance, and cannot claim a medal from the Rebel Admiral who gave me the Master missions, since I am currently Imperial Ace (Storm).
I was able to collect multiple Imperial Ace badges (2 of which I earned, the others you can confiscate for all I care) - however that issue has been resolved.
I'll let you know if I think of / come across anything else.
P.S.:
IMO you should start a new Issues thread rather than updating the old, for ease of central information and reduced redundancy.

Good thing about being able to decorate the Y-8, although you cannot raise/lower items in it, so if you wish to drop something on a table...well...
Also found out that if you use weapon capacitator/overload droid programs, it bugs the mining in both POB and Y-8 not being able to shoot chunks off the rocks. Tried it without overloading the capacitator, but if you don't, you don't have enough energy to mine all the racing chunks flying around in all directions before you run out of juice. I haven't checked the fighters with the programs, but i dont think its bugged.
And still a shame about the gunpoints on the Y-8, i really hope that will either change them or add a couple of more.
