Thread: Focus: Space and the GCW

A few things id like to see happen with the GCW in space...


1- Stations should allowfaction points to be spent on wingmen, equipment, and schems (Schems should be similar to the faction armor schems for special chasis since they have not added any in the last 2 expansions).

2- Stations should send reinforcements to the area around them as they are attacked.

3- Should be able to land on a faction station for repairs and replenishment. Mission NPCs can be moved there also instead of on the ground.

4- Sector control should be an issue.

5- Factionstations should take damage and be disabled or destroyed (for a few min)



Just a few ideas, more to come.

the last 2 expansions have added a fair number of ships, the last 1 only added 1 ship, but it's not much of a pilot expansion. ROTW added 6 (?) ships

  1. I would like to see faction stations attackable by the oppisition. Declair in space and take um out. Allow the sectors to sway Imp/Reb much the same way they do on the ground.

  2. More Schems!!!! I want to be able to make these ships!!! All these quest ships are cool and great, But it is killing the economy!!! PLEEEEEEEEEESE allow these ships to be learnable either through reverse engeneering or by a cert drop. Further more don't put a limit of one on it. Allow the players to controll the pace and economy of the game not the da-gone static npc dungons. If you want make the craftable ship a little lower in its max stats, so those whoquest for them get a slightly better ship but allow the Shipwrights to make and sell ALL of the ships in game in some form or another!!!

  3. Finaly give us a reason to PvP in space. More Faction Points, or some kind of faction incentive.

This just poped in my head, but how is this for an idea. When you PVP in space, those that are responcible for blowing up a ship is able to scan the wreckage. In much the same way we have to Hunt for Firespray segments perhaps we could get segmets to these new ships? Once we get all of the components of the model ship scaned you can bring them to a shipwright and they can convert them into a useable schematic.


To play my own worst enemy, I could see this exploitable as multy factional guilds blowing each other up to get the segments. Not sure how to get around that.

Yes they have but none have been Schems, what im asking for is something similar to what armorsmiths get with faction points.Schems with special paint/textures or modified mass or extra weapon mounts something.... A Tie-Defender, A Lambda Shuttle, Rebel YT and so on.
