where to start...

Space Stations

Make these cities that we can land on interract with even fight for onboard. i mean if you had a choice to sit outside of a starport or be on a space station where would you go...

Multiplayer Ships

if you disable an opponet ship you can use the /dock command to dock with the said disabled ship and fight in the hallways.

well thats all i remember now and its late ill add more later today

Well, I don't know if it's been said or not, but space should be PvP only for factional pilots. If you don't want PvP you go neutral. Can't just go flying around in your X-Wing and expect them not to attack you. Same for TIE Fighters.

Capital ship hijacking is a good thing that's going to happen. Combine space mission with ground combat a little bit.

Yes... less pilots in space is what we all need

He's full of himself. There's no way in hell factional piloting could be done with the current system if it were PvP only. All it would take is one Master pilot with a griefer mentality to stymie an entire system's worth of rookie pilots. He's a groundpounder with delusions of grandeur.

I don't understand why you see me as a grieffer. All I'm trying to say is you CAN'T have an X-Wing and a TIE side by side NOT attacking each other. THEY'RE AT WAR, for christ's sake.

The 'Craft' are not at war the Pilots are. I mean think about it, how easy would it be really for a Rebel to steal a Tie-Fighter. I know I saw at one time a Tie that was Rebel that was spying or the like. Not only that, but look at how many Factions besides the Rebels use X-Wings, A-Wings, Z95 Headhunters and Y-Wings. Really the only 'true' Rebel Craft is the B-Wing, but still we have Pirates flying Z95's. Corosec uses A-Wings, Y-Wings and X-Wings. We have Merc's in Dath flying X-Wings along with Nym's. The point is it's not the craft it's who's flying it...

Also, inacting a if-you're-factioned-you're-pvp-enabled policy would kill any participation from new pilots into the faction. Non-Aces would be prey to greifing non-stop. Especially novices and tier 1's. Every planet's starport would be camped by a couple of griefers each who spend their whole time killing any noobs who are trying to level.

I understand the logic of your argument, but 'realism' has to take a back seat to workable gameplay at times. This is definitely one of those times.

Rookies should be able to grow up in peace... Sure, RP wise everyone (faction wise) should be fair game... it is a war afterall, but that wouldnt be fun for the guys trying to grow up.

Imagine if you just decided to go to space, or switched squadrons... and this was the way things are... ooof. Your career is done... unless we either:

A. Be Mature and leave the youngsters alone.

B. Enable some form of auto-protection for them until they get enough experience.

Now, we know A is never possible with a MMORPG - since we cannot do a maturity check... so we go with B. And that plan is executed with the DS zone. Sometimes folks just want to fly for fun - and not in competition... and that is good.

The GCW and Space will have to come in content missions/space stations/cap ships/etc... JTL is fine (other than some bugs and some lacking content perhaps) for now... It seems people are still discovering JTL (and it has been out awhile).

PvP must always be voluntary. Some of us old-timers remember when Kessel used to be a PvP zone like Deep Space. The hue and cry from the PvE-only pilots was loud enough to get an entire sector nerfed.

When Kessel was a PvP sector it was near impossible for certain factions to get ANY aces. Why? Well lets take Radiant a predominatly Rebel Server. There were some Rebel Aces camping Kessel and flying escort for the Rebel vette each time it came in. Since they were aces and had good equipment they could keep any Imp from being able to complete the ace mission. The Imps couldn't bring enough people because there weren't enough Imps flying to make a diffrence.

Yep. Just imagine what it would have been like if you'd been stuck perma-overt (as the previous poster suggested) from Tier 0.

Sounds like another bored PvP'er.

Any tieing of the of the GCWwith the space game needs to be done by adding content and options, not by adding moregreiving that has no benift (the loser get their ship broke into little pieces, the winner gets nothing.)

What's needed in space is more content after mastering pilot, follow on professions from master pilot (cap ship commander, squadron leader, ect...) and more options. If any of this can be tied to the GCW in an optional way (like grinding faction in space with the threat of PvP is now), then that's only a good thing.

what about like the upcomming game empire at war.To get complete control of a planet you must 1st take out the opposing factions space station that spawns many enemy fighters gun ships multipass ships at you when you have destroyed the base. shuttles of imperial or rebel troops will stop droping the only reinforcments they have is from bases on the planet . you next task now you have control of the space sector you must take out enough bases so that your side has more. also you must kill all remianing imperial troops in cities and capture the flags and start to turn the ground cities to your faction . Also a great idea is that npcs on that planet will no longer talk to the opposing faction. This will keep interest in people fighting for planets so that they can particapte in quests and what not
