What I want to know is - whats the point of not allowing the Nova/YT/Decimator to reload in space?. The message says your ship is to big to be serviced. (Overlook the fact that the Falcon docks with a ship similar to the repair ship at the end of ESB). If the ship is THAT big - why cant it just CARRY more missles?) The game seems to say that" OK u can have TWENTY people in this ship but if u want more than one load per launcher - too bad." The game is supposed to be FUN - and for the most part - it IS - but having to haul all the way to the ground to reload is impractical unrealistic, and NO fun.

I'm very disapointed in my new Nova Courier - wishing I had more firepower - better shields - a forward facing turret for the copilot - something. Right now i can take out more gunboats in an Xwing than i can in the Nova.

Also - let us FIX everything that breaks in space - including armor - in the films we can send droids outside to patch ships hulls/systems etc? R2 can crawl all over the hull. What a great Add-on for DE's if they could make a "rack" of R2 droids that could be sent outside to repair armor. Also this would be a good co-pilot function. Anyway just my .02 Credits

A lot of the issues are already brought up. I'd like to see a lot more variety in space, especially when it comes to freighters, capital ships, and neutral craft.

Imperial:
Victory Star Destroyer
Acclimator Troopships (use for troopships)
Carrack cruisers
Lancer Frigates
Dreadnaught heavy cruiser
Nebulon-B2 Modified Frigate
Interdictor Cruiser
Strike Cruiser

Rebel:
Mon Calamari Cruisers (very rare)
Nebulon-B Frigates
Corellian Gunships
Assault Frigates

Neutral:
Marauder Corvettes
Guardian patrol ship
IPV-4 System Patrol Craft

Freighters:
Buly Freighters
Modular Conveyers
Container Transports
Mobequet Transports
Xiyitar Transport
Heavy Lifter
Cargo Ferry
Escort Transport

Light craft:
Sentinal Landing ships
AT-AT barges
YT-2000 (POB?)
YT-2400 (POB?)
Escort Shuttle
Stormtrooper Transport

Fighters:
N-1 (For RSF only, maybe flyable as a bonus ship for RSF)
Cloakshape fighter (Bonus ship for Smugglers alliance?)
T-wing
Supa Fighter (Black Sun only)
Uglies
Preybird

Had assumed that the pilot chatter commands would do this, apparently not.

Any chance of fixing the B-Wing s-foils??? Also a 're-tweak' of this chassis' performance is in order , apart of the s-foils bug, the ship handles terribly and accelerates/decelerates terribly. Please, you gave freelancer a great ship and imperials have the oppressor that is a great ship too, I think that all Ace ships (B-wing, Krayt and Oppressor) , should have the best aneuverability, best acceleration and weapon convergence, thats why they should be the Ace ships, because the best pilots should fly the best.

pls fix the bwing sfoils soon!!!!!!!!!!!

Give the Lower level Allience Pilots better ships.
The Z-95 can hardly hold any equipment, the Y-wing is slow and sluggish, The Y-wing probe is exactly the same as the Y-wing, my not make them both Teir 1 unlocks then add a new better ship for teir 2. This would give us a greater chance on teir 3 quests.

Tier0 ships aren't meant to hold much equipment, I still PvP in a Z95 though.

Ywing and Ywing are not exactly the same, the LP is quite a bit more powerful. As for handling, yeah it's poor, but not after you learn the ins and outs of what makes a good engine for one, and how to best control the throttle for turning.

Tier3 quests in those ships aren't particularly difficult, as long as you remember to take the box for components very first thing.

Players have been finding that the "drunken bee" problem seems to be tied to ASUS motherboards with the nForce chipset. I have this combo and am having so much trouble in space.

I have four big issues as a fairly new pilot. I appologize if these are all things that veteran players don't really care about, but they all lead me getting my space sim jones satisfied elsewhere.

(1) Every so often, my ship just stops momentarily. Somebody in this thread suggested it is due to lag. Whatever the reason, it makes me sad

(2) Visible collision detection is borked. Apparently, that's all handled by the client [which makes sense], but that leads to a lot of false hits [which doesn't make sense]. I don't care what my opponent's damage is, so I don't look at that often. I still play the original X-Wing, so all I expect to know is 'Shields Down', 'Hull Damage', and 'Disabled.' But I do care that I actually hit my opponent, and this is impossible without carefully monitoring that damage display.

(3) "Hit zones" I haven't quite figured it out, but even if both myself and my opponent are not moving, it is possible for hits that obviously connect to not do any damage. With small objects, I imagine fixing (2) would do the trick. But with large objects, like freighters, there's no way it can be attributed to lag or client error. I'm immobile and 10m away from the thing, but if I'm not aiming right at that reticle, nothing counts as a hit.

(4) Either get rid of quest based advancement, or get rid of experience based advancement. I nominate the former. Keep quests in place, but at any time if I have the XP neccessary to advance *within* a tier, I should be able to do so. That way, if I get stuck on a mission, I can at least earn experience and eventually get the next level of ship components, or whatever edge I need to progress. I know this applies to third tier Storm Squadron, but I assume it is the same elsewhere. Note that I'm not suggesting you should be able to Ace before leaving your first trainer -- your maximum tier should still be tied to advancement within the various quests.

Even with the Dead Zone slider set to 0 under the options menu, a certain about of deadzone equivalent to roughly 5% on both Y and X axes exist.

Interesting, I'd cut out the XP requirements, and just have mission quests, and expand it to all professions besides pilot. But that's just me.

Anyway, pilot issues that I've not seen brought up (at all or lately):

* Setting up your guns for chain-fire would be quite handy. Right now though, if you have two groups, you get boom-boom-pause. It's firing the second weapon as fast as it can, and then waiting on the first to recharge and fire again. What it should do, is average the delay across all weapon groups, and use that delay consistently. That way, we could get a nice machinegun effect going, which would be good medicine for trying to catch those pesky little droid fighters and such.

* Once your groups are set up, it would be nice if you could have a couple of different groupings. So, you could set up chain fire and group fire configurations, and switch between them without having to dig in a window.

* I'd like to see exactly what the effects of my overloads are doing.

* Why does my droid sound like a mutter, instead of an Astromechchirp?

* Why do I still see people popping up in chatter windows after I turned all that off with /togglecombattaunts ?

* The B-wing is an awesome craft, and one of the best in the game *AT WHAT IT DOES*. It's not supposed to be a space superiority fighter, it's a bomber. I wouldn't argue against a little tweak up on the YPR acceleration stats, buta B-wing should not be intended to stand against a flight of purpose-built starfighters.

* Any chance we could get the X-wing changed to have an option for 2 or 4 weapon slots, instead of 3? Take off the silly mid-wing points, and make it so that if you load a L6 gun or lighter on a wing tip, it takes up only that wing tip. If you load a L7 or higher, it takes up the two opposite wing-tips, in the fashion of the current split-weapon arrangement.

* A lot of boosters, weapons, and other things are not rendering. Weapons that don't render are not working. Boosters that don't render seem to work, but would be cooler if they showed up.

* Can we please let ShipWrights either make a kit, orpersonally change the style of our components? This would let us pick the rendered appearance of our weapons and projectiles, boosters, engines, and so on. Mismatched lasers just looks bad. Or, barring that, can we have the RE window allow that to be previewed and selected?

* I think we'd see a lot more PvP in space (in Deep Space and elsewhere) if it was possible to have a SW revitalize decayed chassis and components. People are very protective about their cherished loot drops and hard-won RE'd gear. Allowing SW's to revitalize components and chassis would bring business back to them, even after a lot of pilots are essentially done reverse engineering and tweaking their ships. Of course, a revit kit would be hugely expensive in resources, and so on, since we're preserving potentially uber loots.

* I personally enjoy figuring out which levels of what component type are most likely to drop out-of-whack stats. Some people wish that the progression was linear though, and I respect that too. I would like to see some stated guideline about it though, as well as about the intended niche of crafted components compared to looted & RE'd.

* Can we see more at-a-glance information about our components? In the first place,a level number floating on the icon would be quite handy and sensible. Put an "L" in front of it for level, and put it right where the volume or charges number goes on other things. Also, if we could get different colors for names oflooted & RE'able, crafted, post-RE, and exceptional components, that would be wonderful, for keeping our inventory straight.

* When a ship is re-deeded, the deeding process should first attempt to put all components in the toon's inventory, and if this is not possible, ask for confirmation of their destruction.

* On the subject of adding more ships to the datapad, I'm all for it. But, I would have ship type slots. So, we would have space for one reward ship, one combatantMP ship (limiting us to two that can hold inventory, keeping databasegrowth manageable), two or three fighters, and one prestige ship (being a KSE for now, or other designsto come later).

* Oh, and for the datapad... Please add an additional tab, separate from "Data", to store all of our callable stuff. Data should just be schematics and stuff. This new, separate tab ("Property" works for me), should have an empty box for each object of each type that it can hold, and mouseover should give a description of what can go there. So, for example, we would have five droid slots, two CL10 critter pet slots, 3 (currently) ship slots, 3 vehicle slots... and if we change to the above idea of ship-type slots, we'd see the details for those, as well. This would let us keep organized, and we can see at a quick glance what else we can own.

Thanks!

I have found a workaround for that. First I create a weapon group that has all the weapons in it, then use SHIFT-Leftclick to cycle to it. The game defaults the controls so that the mouseclick fires the primary group and then cycles through the other groups. That is what creates the pause in your firing. Go to the options menu and remap the button so that it is on 'fire weapons from current group' and it will fire them all at once, at their own fire rates, so you get a much better machinegun effect from it.

Please, please fix the inertia on the B-Wing. I don't mind it accelerates and decelerates slowly, I don't mind it turns sllloooowwwwlllyyyyyy even with a high ypr engine, but please make the controls responsive and precise. It doesn't have to turn fast, but it should stop turning when I let go of the joystick/when the virtual joystick is centered.

Thank you.
