You know i am a bit confused about space damage. I think there is more modifiers to it than just the stats on the gun and the 25% reduction.
My reverse engineered quest cannon should do about 6.3k damage per shot (with WO3, 25% reduction and modifiers against shields and armor)
The best shieldsyou can have are 3.8k (reverse engineered quest shields before the shield adjust fix) and around 2k armour.
Thats 5.8kdefensive power.
So why do almost all ships made for PvP survive one direct hit?
Either there has to be another modifier or what i think is more plausible is that when you are hit and the damage goes through your shields the armor modifier is applied on top of the shield damage modifier on the rest of the damage.
That would make 1 single ship i have encountered in PvP survive one blow. That can't be right as i saw the ship soak up at least 3 hits (maybe 2 without shield shunt).
Therefore i think there must be other modifiers too since i survived odd shots even in my a-wing without reverse engineered quest shields.

Eqiuipment isn't everything. And I claimed Viduus
