you...um...you dont get prestige until you ace, Kayl....you get starship combat, which doesnt convert either, but which does cap at 7.5M.

Besides, you couldnt go to DS or use T9/10 components or master commands, why would you stay 4444?

If pilot xp was convertable, id sit at 4/4/4/4 until maxed. With master pilot bonus wouldnt take me very long. About an hour or so. Resign pilot and do it again in the same faction. Kit out a heavy starter ship with something obsence like an L8, L9, or L10 gun. That way i can fly through the the first two teirs by killing gunships. Would take me 30 mins tops to fill all of the 2nd tier not counting missions. Get back to 4/4/4/4 and happily grind my xp again. Rinse and repeat, and cash in the xp by the truckloads.

Infact, if i were to do this, id do it in CorSec because its has the easiest teir 3 missions. It would take me 2 days tops to have the xp capped at 4/4/4/4. Infact given corsec, ill bet i could do it in a day.

EDIT: you have to figure taht if pilot xp was convertable, the jediwannbe isnt concrned about piloting in itself, just the mass xp that you can reap in. If i was looking at the village and xp was covertable, id do exactly what i said in this post. Who cares about pilot when your after the glowstick? J3di 4 teh win!

Why resign? Why not just go to the Village, dump the XP, and go fill it up again?

Thats me not knowing the specifics of how they convert their xp. I just know how they'd stockpile masses of it in piloting. If they dont have to resign to restart the farm, then its even WORSE Then what i described in the previous post.

EDIT:

Infact, i could make that 7.5 mill (if that is indeed the cap) im guessing in about an hour (or less) with a 3X master pilot bonus.

Ok, so 7.5 million per hour... do you know how long it takes the hardcore grinder to cap their combat xp... give you a hint.. NOT LONG. throwing their grenades earning 4k+ combat xp per mob in the lair... I know people who cap combat in 30 minutes in the right groups. So if Pilot xp were converted at 1000 to 1, and you could take 7,500,000 xp and convert it to 7,500 FS xp per trade in how exactly would this be so out of whack? I think if you make hte conversion rate fit the possible max xp rate then there is really no problem, other than a lot of space pilots whining about jedi grinders showing up in space taking the mobs they want to fight for more loot.

As a current Triple (soon Quadruple) Ace, and a soon Force Sensitive, I say NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.

Even at a HUGE ratio the very concept is disturbing, at best.

Besides, how does one plan on surviving as a Jedi with NO pre-existing combat abilitys? I'll laugh as you cant get anywhere due to not being able to fight off a Novice BH who comes for you while you are filling the gimp-slot on a gurk hunting group.

Note on the above post that I am referring primarily to "new" Force Sensitives, who would hear about the effort free XP in space, not ones who already have a grinding template and would use pilot just to grind XP.

That hour was a GENERIOUS estimate.



Anyone remember the exact xp a Teir 5 gunboats gives?
Multiply that X 3, and then add that number on top of the orginal score.

Takes about 30 seconds to kill one.


Or any tier 5 mob, what is it? 3K on the lower end? 12K xp per mob, takes 3 seconds to pop him.

Some people that have been posting don't seem to know what they are talking about 0.o
