EDIT: Correction - The abovemethods still seem to work after all. I cleared the enemy escorts, slipped in directly behind the corvette (wasn't aggo until fired upon), torpedoed the primary, secondary shields, shot out the engines, and waited for the engineers to do their thing.
Next I quickly hit each wave of fighters like a drunken wookie, butbeing careful to stay OUT of the gunboat's fire arcs. I didn't hit any of the boats, so they left me alone. They then proceeded to attack the 'vette, but after their missiles were spent there wasn't much damage they could do. Before they knocked out each of its guns, the Corvette jumped, and I got the hell out.
The gunboats then hung around Kashyyyk station. Poor innocent bystanders.

I'm still having trouble doing this mission, for some reason the gunboats always wipe the corvette out really quickly after we capture it... any tips on stuff you must or maybe mustn't do when doing this mission?

If worst comes to worst and you're horribly unlucky, get an Imp Ace to Bomberstrike 3 the first gunboat. They won't kill it, but it'll be kept busy...kinda.
Make sure to run away as fast as you can when the Vette hypers out. The gunboats are capable of surprising speeds.

Akyma,
I got two reward items. A level 8 Impulse Blaster and a level 6 Booster ("Super Nova" or something like that). I'm at work and don't know stats on gun, and I have REd the booster already. I hear there are different rewards though.

tried this quest out and i'm unable to do any kind of damage to the corvette from the back by the engines. also cant get a missle lock on it, the other fighters with it locked just fine. an npc ship came by and did 2% systems dmg only before getting killed but it doesnt take a scratch when i empty my ammo into it. it does go red when i attack it and it does try to kill me.

The Pilot Corr is doing his best to get the issue resolved, but the Devs, in their infinite wisdom, seem to be either unable to fix it or just don't see it as a priority. Jedi exp, on the other hand, they're all over in seconds...

When I did my quest for the Vaksai it followed the same lines however I found something that could help. The vette follows the same flight before and after you take out the engines. First take out the escort fighters, after that take out the vette's guns and shields and let it fly till your about 3600m to 3800m from the Kash Space Station. When your at that point take out it's engines, any later and the vette will jump out and you'll fail. Now escort the vette back to the Station, at the sametime do not kill any of the fighters jumping in after the Vette. Take there engines or reactors out, If your lucky the Vette won't kill any of them. And it will take longer for another set of fighters to jump in, or so I've found. Right when the third set of Fighters jumped in the Vette made it to the station and mission over and I got the Vaksai.

Kashyyk Space Station...FYI I found you have to actually land on Kashyyk before you get the option for the mission. When I first went to Kashyyyk space I did not have the option to ask for work from the station. After I landed and explored the ground for a little bit then returned to space, I was given the option.

I just got my deed today and am unable to unpack.
Made a CSR, no response yet though. Tells me "You do not have the badge necessary to fly that ship." yet I have a badge which reads "Quest: Rebel Heavy X-Wing Starfighter"
Anyone else have this happen to them?
