And unless they change the way the system works as far as calculating maneuverability... I don't think that is or should change.


If I were running things, I would base a ship's maneuverability on the engine's speed and turn ratings, and use the ship's ratio of used mass to its maximum mass to mitigate the maneuverability limitations of its chassis.


That way, an x-wing will fly like an x-wing, but a YT-1300 with under, say, 150k mass used would also fly like an x-wing and at under perhaps 20k mass it would fly like an a-wing...Based onwhatever magical formulas I would come up with if I thought such an idea would be taken seriously.

that is actually the way i hoped it would work when i started JTL, but was disappointed to find unchanging manuevering/speed based on how much mass you put in your ship.
