Hello i know i may be out of my league here but i need help. I'm in the storm squadron i'm 2/2/1/1 i want to train. I got 140k xp to train in the next 2 boxes but when i went back to the guy at city hall in bestine and he send me to yavin to report to someone else. Couldn't get him to train me so i went to yavin, talked to the guy, and the guy in the next room, neither would train me. did one mission for the guy, went back to talk to him again, still neither would train me..... am i missing something?

Hmmm, the guy who trained you to 2 2 1 1 should train you all the way to 2 2 2 2 before sending you to Yavin for the tier 3 missions. If he wont I'd /bug it.

How many waves are there?

how do I get past this part?

Trying to remember what that part is but I think that's after you've transmitted the data and are meeting with the second ship.

If that's the one you'll have some fighters come after you on your way to that point. If you just disable them you won't have any waves pop out when you go to meet with that ship. The first time I did it I dealt with endless wave after wave before I could dock with the ship.

Disabling them on the way to there makes it a ton easier.

Yeah i did like 2 missions, after getting pwned repeatedly on the second, and then finding a group to help me finish it. went back to get another mission, but all he offered me was a duty so i declined it thinking that all i would get is wave after wave of tier 2's so i went out to space andstayed out there shot up tier 3's until i got the 140k xp, then came back to get trained..... only to get send to yavin. Maybe it is bugged, but that's exactly what i did is there another trainer or do i have to start all over?

I made 3222 and the 2nd tier 3 mission is less than fun, there is no way I think I can get past it unless I get some better guns I think? I tried the bomber but its way to slow to fight without any support, but I am considering the 3232 option should I ever complete this second mission, its friday and I am going to try the disable feature more, I just figured it took the same amount fo time just to destroy them, but they keep spawning and after 3 attempts last night, I dont think I got any loot from them, so disable might be the best option.

I wish I knew the specs from my ship offhand but I dont, I think I am doing ok but the deaths are only decaying my nice items, so I need to figure it out pretty quick

the first mission is disabling and docking with the docs shuttle.

2nd is where you go to the satalite and transmit

3rd is where you dock with another shuttle

4th is the one where im having problems, youve suggested just disabling them, ill try that

on this one i ghather im supposed to meet with another shuttle , whats the 5th part to the inquisitors 2nd 3rd tier mission?

Well Mission 1 on Tier 3 Storm Squadron is ridiculous, right in the end those Tier 4 pirates tear me to shreds...FFS i'm Tier 2 and i CANNOT train even though i have capped my exp at 200k....this is not right ! I grouped with a friend and we still got killed...at least if i could only redo the last stage not the whole damend LONG freakin mission.

Well after a couple of weeks and finsing some very helpful imperial navy pilots I finally got to 3,3,2,2 and I am now trying my hand at 3rd tier 3 mission and I have to say after the previous two this seems a lot easier but I keep dying as the other two have really taken it out of me and I dont wan tto get drawn into really really long battles and start losing concentration. It also does not help when practically all your guild, friends and city you live in are rebels so not much help there.

Anyway for a few tips on the 1st storm squadren mission in tier 3, as I have completed it a few times now helping other people too and it is always the same, I really need to rest!!

I dont know about soloing as I like to think over all the years I have played flight sims, I am a pretty damn good pilot and I still struggle, so I would say you definatley need to have a little luck to solo them, but it is possible.

However for a minimum I would suggest 2 doing this mission, however more the merrier. We did not jump out for repairs so did it in one long 2 hour haul. Disabling their engines is definatley the easiest way to do and releives a bit of the pressure of you as I am not sure if it slows spawns down or it is just you disabling them quicker than destroying them which gives you those few seconds to breath before the next wave. Also do not worry about the transport too much as they can take a hell of a lot of damage.

If you also find yourself struggling with a ship (usually an a-wing) that you cannot hit or one of those ones that just likes to ram you, move on to another ship and take that one out and come back to this one later. As the longer you stay on one ship the more you will end up having to deal with at once which never helps. Dont forget the transport can take hits you cannot.

For the disable parts of the mission I went in to disable the ship while my wingman went to work on the escort then I joined him in taking out the escort before docking. Found this was the safest and easiest way, if you can avoid any big nasty tier 4 ships on route to your way I would recomend taking the long way round even if it is a little longer. It will make your mission a lot easier and safer and just cause less issues. Its a bit hard when your transport you are escorting flies into them, but if you have the option before you escort go round.

For the 2nd mission pretty much the same, I have done this a few times with just two of us but always fail on the bomber and you can bet you fly through some really nasty pirates if your not to careful with cause a whole heap of trouble. It all goes great until you get to the final battle. Thankfully on the time I completed it we had a nice ace who took out the gunboat which them made our jobs a lot easier with the escorts. If it is your mission hang back a bit and let the others engage the fighters and move in when the gun boat is out....it may sound like you are wimping out but if you die then everyone has done all that work for nothing. Once that gunship is out of the way jump in and kill, kill.

It is all pretty basic stuff, so I am probally not saying anything new but hopefully it will help someone and I hate to complain and I dont very often, but I do have to say the missions for teir 3 (only done first 2) are just way over the top. I love a good misison, I think the story and plot lines for them are great...but they are waaaay to long, especially the first one when you cannot save a point or start from a new point for completing part of it. It does need to be made a little easier with less waves or less ships to a wave or not so many parts to a mission. Not to the point of it being just a long dull walk in the park, just a little shorter. I would even be up for making the missions harder if there was half of them, say only 3 stages.

I've soloed so far up to 3/3/2/2 in imperial inquisition. Hyperspacing to a diff location in same system is a big help on alot of these missions, and make sure you have a key mapped to fire all weapons/ordnance when going up against the gunships. Before I take on a big ship I have engine overload activated and right before I engage the big ship I use emergency weapons, they go down surprisingly fast. One thing I haven't tried but imagine would work as well is to disable the weapons first, it's probably quicker than straight up destroying it, and could then not worry bout eating those big guns.
