Imperial, Black Epsilon Squadron.
First mission on Tier 3, from the gentleman on the Yavin 4 Imperial Base.
You disable a rebel spy, and take data from them.
Then you deliver the data to a lambda shuttle.
Last, there's a group of rebel ships you have to destroy.
When I get to the group of ships I have to destroy, the game crashes to desktop shortly after I start attacking them.
This is especially painful, because I log back in dead, and have to repair, and restart the mission (it's rather long).

I've had a problem with mission waypoints not showing up on occassion. When it happens I just do a quick disconnect and relog and it appears as normal. This happened mainly with missions from Lady Viopa but also on a few of the Tier 3 missions also. I'm doing Tier 4 now and haven't seen it come up again yet.
For the Travel thing, there's a work-around.Here's what you do,go to a Starship Terminal near a Travel Terminal and select your starship as normal from the Starship Terminal, then open the Travel Terminal like you were going to purchase a ticket normally, but hit escape once the window opens. Now when you open the travel window from your ship menu you should see the menu for the planet you're on. Of course this bug will also let you do things like go from Lok straight to Corellia, for example, which you can't do with a normal Travel Terminal and probably won't be able to do once they fix it. IMO they should just let you travel from anywhere to anywhere if you have a ship.....

When will the invulnerability/ targetting bug be addressed?
I did a /bug because I was unable to damage any ships at all. I am aware of the top/bottom invulnerability, and have attempted numerous times leading the target in many different manners. I have even gone so far as to have a friend disable a ship and then try all different angles, speeds, distances and about every weapon I could get my hands on to kill a ship. Nothing worked. This is not a performance issue on my end.
Yesterday I got a CSR response, and they said that they are aware of the bug and there will be a forthcoming fix in the near future. Although no specifics were mentioned. Can we get some info regarding this please?

If someone else disables a ship, you can not hurt it, this is on purpose.

Even if they are grouped members and running the same mission with me? That makes no sense at all. Also I have heard of that feature you speak of.Itis for anti-grieifing. Yet..if they are in my group wouldnt one assume there would be no griefing between group members?
This is a bug.

Ah, you didn't mention they were grouped. I haven't heard if that's purposeful or not, but I agree you should be able to take them out.

He's my bug:
When starting tier 2 as an Imp pilot (Storm Squadron), I have 60,000 space combat XP, which is enough to train 1 box. When talking to my current trainer, there is no option to train, just to get a mission. If I go back and talk to the old trainer, there is an option to get training, but when I select it, I get "You do not have enough XP to train".
Training in Pilot skill should work just like regular XP. If I have enough XP to learn a skill, then I should be able to learn it and NOT be forced to do 2 missions before my current trainer will train me. That resulted in me loosing space combat XP, since the 2 missions I did I could not get any XP as 60,000 was the max I was allowed. After I did the first 2 missions, I was then allowed to train.
Loosing XP this way sucks, not to mention not being able to get a better ship or weapons until you do 2 missions first.

match speed seems to only work with very limited ships for missions
it would be nice if it would work with all ships, PC & NPC
also, when you have a single POI active in your WP box, you can't click on it and make it go away like you can on the ground, you need to go to your datapad or nav comp to disable it
last thing is the cumbersome...ness...(if thats a word) of switching between flying and typing
maybe the mouse pointer UI mode should automatically have the chat box active
so if you're trying to talk, you don't have to click on the box, you can just press alt and start typing

>> When ever i add an engine to the Y-Wing regardless of how great the engine stats are as far as yaw, roll, etc, it automatically changes the engine to stats of 80.
This is not a bug.
The *apparent* engine stats for Roll, Pitch, and Yaw *accelleration* are being over-written by the chassis statistics. Only the chassis stats matter for RPY *accelleration*.
Further, Roll Pitch and Yaw are also being limited to the chassis' cap on those statistics.
No actual changes are being written to the engine object, so when you put it into a ship whose caps are higher for those statistics, the engine's stats will matter for RPY.
Good looted engines remain good looted engines.
We told the developers in Beta to get rid of RPY accell stats on engines, since they'd be overwritten by the chassis stats, but this didn't happen and people are reporting this non-issue as a bug.

Tier 1 Mission 4 for Corsec -
The Hidden Daggers Eliminator is quite a bit faster than the player's ship (it's an A-Wing). Top-bottom invulnerability makes this mission extremely hard. Unfortunately, once he is damaged to say 50% shields and armor, he hyperspaces out. Mission failed

Hello everyone,
Now that Jump to Lightspeed is live, issues will begin to arise. Since we don't have a Correspondent yet, please use this thread to post all BUGS and ISSUES regarding the PILOT PROFESSION. This is *NOT* a wish list thread or how you think the game should run or the profession should be run. Please keep all bugs and issues in this thread so there will be a central location for the Devs to come along and see what may be going on with our profession.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pilot Issues (Updated 10/30/04)
- Travel system. Right now we can only travel to either Tatooine, Naboo, Corellia, or Lok. Travel should work the same as the current travel system, only the ability to use your own ship instead to cut down on wait times.
- Choice of only three different UI colors is making it hard for players to use game functions. Maybe being allowed to use the same interfaces as the ground game would help.
- Need some sort of dialog box that appears for grouped players giving them the option to either board the ship with their group mates or not board the ship.
- In space your last zoom range is not saved. Ex: Hyperspace and your view always reverts to cockpit view.
- No visable numbers when droid programs are used. Ex: Using Reactor overload doesn't show increased output on the componets detail screen in space, but does show the damage from using the program.
- Imperial Tier 3, Mission 1 seems to be too hard for players to complete, even when taking it on in groups.
- To complete Tier 2 and move on to Tier 3 (Imperial Storm Squadron) you cannot die or you will need to redo you're five missions over again. Seems to be very difficult to complete even for groups. Can any Rebels or Privateers confirm they also have an exit mission like this?
- High level mobs tend to stop in space and use a 'turreting method' while the players attack other ships, causing high damage to the players ship and no way to counter.
PilotBugs (Updated 10/30/04)
- Recently purchased items from vendors are disappearing from inventory.
- Travel system. Right now we can only travel to either Tatooine, Naboo, Corellia, or Lok. The propertravel maps are not showing up for the current planet the player is on.
- Some players have having trouble re-deeding their ships, even when they have been stripped bare.
- Not being able to see group members when in the same sectors.
- Group list disappears from time to time or is not visable. (seems to happen after upgrading from starter ship)
- Lady Viopa (Lok Rebel Mission) will not give new mission to player upon completion of the Lambda shuttle mission when the player was ambushed and killed after stealing the information, even though she recognizes it as a Mission Complete.
- When using the mouse to fire (Y-Wing), sometimes it continues to fire as if it's on autofire instead of just shooting once, until you click the mouse button again.
- When ever i add an engine to the Y-Wing regardless of how great the engine stats are as far as yaw, roll, etc, it automatically changes the engine to stats of 80.
- Mission waypoints not showing up.
- Autopilot leading ship into the opposite direction it needs to be going (mainly autopiloting to space stations). Right now only seems to be happening to Tier 2 and 3 mission (Rebel)
- Not able to damage ships even if it's our own mission (seems to happen during duty missions).
- Players shouldn't be able to target enemies that are spawned from other missions. Only attackable enemies should be able to be targeted.
- The tops and bottoms of shipsare invulnerable and you can only damage them from the front of back.
- During duty missions, cannot target a ship a player is engaged with until the NPCshoots and hits first.

Sort of.
I'm Smugglers Alliance, and you have a mission like that the first time you work for Jabba. You have to take over a freighter, then kill your 3 replacements, all of whom are Tier 4, and if you die, you start over.
