I'm going to have to agree with JeebusCrisp. Ostat is an exploiter and a cheater.
Doesn't mean he's a bad pilot. Or doesn't make useful contributions to the community.
But his actions were certainly intentional. He shouldn't be excused for them. But if he proves himself in the future, maybe he can be forgiven for them.

Pretty much all I've been saying in this entire thread. Nicely worded.
I might add however as I've said before that he certainly deserves no congratulations either.

You can't break the law and then use your charitable donations as a 'get out of jail free' card.
You can't use the fact that you did something you should have done in the first place to excuse your reprehensible actions in another.

I want faction points in space - for jedi and non-jedi. What's your problem with it?

That no bannings appear to have taken place over this is a slap in the faceof the honest player who knew about this and kept their integrity.
Maybe we should give Jedi's powers in space.
So that they can get Bounty Hunted in space.
So that the Bounty Hunters can kill them with exploited ships.
So that the Jedi will whine about the exploits.
So that the exploits will get fixed, because the Devs are Jedi fanbois.
So that no more Jedi will dare fly in space after the Pilots with real skill destroy them on the finally fair playing field.
So that there will be no Jedi left in space to use Jedi powers.
