Orim, the single biggest mistake you can make as a beginning pilot is to not understand your loadout. I went well over a year without properly tweaking mine. I was a Tier IV pilot before I started seriously shopping around. I'd just use whatever I had looted (without getting anything RE'd). It was pretty ugly. And I had made it to Tier IV without mooching XP off of anyone's turret. I just grinded and got help for missions I couldn't do. A single shopping trip improved my flying and love for space at least 10 fold.
Anyway, the suggested loadout on page one is a good one. I go for a bit more armor and a bit less weaponry, personally. I should probably experiment with more firepower, maybe.
You're gonna find a lot of antipathy toward the JSF in general. Pre-ROTW pilots usually consider it to be overpowered because it's the smallest ship ingame and one of the most nimble (making it extremely hard to hit) while having more mass than any pre-ROTW fighter (sure, bombers have more, but they have other drawbacks).
At any rate, experiment and have fun

With the list of parts from page one I managed to stay within the limits. It's fun to fly a new ship A thanks goes to who ever gave me some tips and tricks.

Hi
Wouldn't it be nice if quest based and looted ships are actually usefull.
The Heavy X and JSF have a good mass but the ARC 170 (125K Mass) and Belbullab 22 (90K Mass)
are just pathetic.
IMO these ships should be tweaked (red. give them more mass) so you can equip them properly.
Who else agrees or disagrees with this?

Erm. You must be joking right? If you saw my A-wing you'd freak. I probably have more crammed within that 66k mass than you could manage with 120k mass. The long and short of it is..you're wrong. If anything, the Belb,JSF and Heavy x-wing need a mass REDUCTION. What are you talking about anyway? The JSF and GSF bothhave identical mass...

As I said though, take a look at my A-wing and in fact other people's ships. My advice is to do some research and learn the game before makign ridiculous posts like this.

I wouldn't be so strong with my view on this one, but it is obvious you havn't even tried ingame or looked around yet.

I strongly suggest you read the whole thread (including follow ups/replies) before replying. Thanks.

Only read this far and I have the feeling with this post ORIM has just gone and made himself into this months "I need an I winbutton improved cause im so crap" baby, now to see if the next few pages are filled with what I think they will be.

What?! More mass in a JSF? What the hell kinda pilot are you? A test pilot in a wheelchair factory? I do better in a A-Wing than a lot of people I see here do in their poon fighters, and I've got 2/3s the mass to work with.

Me thinks I read the inane scrawlings of one who spent too much time in a turret seat with no gun to shoot.

See where you say Awing Jana, I now use my Ywing just to really embarass nubship drivers, now thats class!

Well, I have to see im reading through this thread cover to cover and as it progresses you appear to be more stupid as time progresses. In simple terms the majority of pilots (i.e. the good ones) believe that the new ships are overpowerful.

In other words the JSF should really have a mass that doesnt go over 45k, If you cant make a JSF good then there isnt much that you can do, except perhaps peruse the thread before posting such a comment, that usually stops a flurry of "your an idiot" messages you get when you make an idiotic statement.

To be honest the best thing to do is try a bit of SW as you go up pilot to learn a bit about REing and component crafting!

Actually, I did what you suggested, and read through the entire thread as and posted on some pertinent points. Finally finishing up with a little tip on being a pilot. However, whilst it seemed you had gone from blithering idiot, to semi-reasonable I-winner, you have now returned to blithering idiot, congrats!

Don't forget to quote the insults too... just a tip.
I'll be leaving this thread now.
There is no point posting anymore.
