Ya I have wanted to try to get my hands on one or 2 of those myself

I've been a pilot for all 3 factions on different servers and while I was a master imperial pilot I took some time fooling around with teh interceptor cause I loved it too. And I know that the canon ships are more fun to fly in some ways, but my Rhyx is my absolute favorite. I have it loaded with so much high level stuff it'd make your head spin and with WO3, EO3, RO3 and WCO3, it can take out anything in teh skies. Many people overlook WCO3 but I find it to be a huge help. Just IMO on that one

I love flying lower tier ships for stuff. Yeah I loved my Opp, don't get me wrong, and I really miss my Advanced at times. But 99% of the time the challenge is taking that lower tier ship out there against "the big boys" and still coming out on top. I use a Dune for 99% of my flying still, and I still have fond memories of my first time out in Kessel with the 121st in my little TIE/in, god those were fun times. /sniffle

The Mark 2 reactor was a remnant of my prior lack of knowledge, being able to use Reactor Overcharge from Freelancer as a Imperial pilot , so I squeezed in this thing so I could do a propper Engine Overcharge 2, or 3 (with decreased weapon output though). But now its no longer a requirement so...I guess I can start shaving off some bodyparts to get a lighter vessel. I think I still have 1k mass left for a chaff...I'm not that worried about a booster, as with engine overcharge I still go with about 1024.

Im still troubled by the droid interfaces, is a smaller or higher number better?

Smaller number's better. A DI's speed is the number of seconds' delay you'll get when using a command (multiplied by a factor dependent on the type and level of the command, though I think some of these factors are broken currently). So a level 10 DI with a speed of 9.5 will give you a base delay of 9.5 seconds, whereas yours will give you a delay of 36.0. This isn't terribly important except when it comes to Cap to Shield Shunt, though, so I'd place a low priority on working in a better one.

Might think about some level 1 armor if you get the space. Mass under 1K for 275-285 HP.

Im thinking of it this way, if I get to the point my armor is needed to withhold a blast...I allready F*cked up.

True, but the armour might just take the one blast that gets through your shields.
I've got a little bit of armour in mine, and it usually only gets hit once...by the time my sheilds start going down, I'm starting to evade, but they generally nail all my shields...then my armour takes that one blast that would normally disable my engine and bring up a nice little red box, just underneath the reticle.

Speaking of which..does anyone know the command to change the retical?

/ui selectreticle 1 (to 8 )

speaking of reticles...I changed the default one to what seems to me a perfect one of the tie Interceptor....its a Square one with a dot in the middle...good aiming for the uncoverted 4 lasers

Thats what keeps me sharp...I dont have that luxoury =P. Besides, listening to the laser fire is the key, but you need good reflexes for it... If you hear a shot fired, turn away from the path you were flying.

weeee!! That's what I was looking for...I'll try both ,-)

And I agree about listening to laser fire...they can tell you a lot about what's going on around you. I especially like the ones that glance off your shields, making that cool swishy noise but not doing any damage

Think I finalised my squint now:

Crafted mark I reactor, 11600ish output, mass a bit over 1K or so.

Looted re'd level 4 engine, 64ish YPR, top speed 81 or so, 3700 mass.

Crafted mark IV shield generator, 1800ish strength, 16Kish mass

2 pieces of crafted mark III armor, 5300 mass, 1K strenght each.

Looted re'd level 2 cap, 35 recharge, 900 max, 1300ish mass.

Crafted Mark I booster, 30 max speed, 1100ish mass I think.

Looted re'd level 6 blaster, 10K mass, 1800 to 2800 dmg, 0.39 speed

Crafted IR 2 missile launcher, 5600 mass or so.

Looted level 1 prenerf DI, 15 speed.
