Still, nobody has answered the question. What's the difference between grinding one hour in space versus one hour of TK versus one hour of Architect versus one hour of Squad Leader versus one hour of pistoleer? One hour of game play is one hour of game play...
Anyone?

In space, I can get loads more experience in an hour than I can on the ground. Lets say I'm running a mission blasting a mixxed group of TIE Fighters and Interceptors, both netting me around 3100. It takes me much less time to destroy those fighters than it would for me to kill an NPC worth an equal amount of experience as a Teras Kasi Artist.

Simply put, I don't think that Space Combat experience or Prestige should get a Force Sensitive experience conversion ratio, but if it does, it should be something high, along the lines of 1500:1, as opposed to weapons having 30:1.

Getting FS xp for space xp is not a good idea. Cause you can get space xp so much easier. And people here seem to forget that once you ace and do another squad you get double xp, then triple, then... you get the picutre. If someone went and did 6 of the 9 squads your looking at 6 times xp per kill. So unless the FS conversion is like outrageously high I don't see it ever hapening.

Yeah, I get loads of XP in space as well. In my original post I laid out a very basic formula for this. In fact, the title of the thread is 'FORCE SENSITIVE CONVERSION RATE'. Meaning that Pilot XP should have a rate just like everything else...

Ummmm. Couldn't the rate just be adjusted accordingly? It wouldn't be crazy math involving diff-eq or double integrals or anything. I think we would just need a '/' symbol in there somewhere. Right?

I can get 900k weapon xp and 90k combat xp in one hour on the ground. This is about 15:1 ratio (900k = 30k FS, 90k combat = 30k FS). That means at a 60:1 ratio for example, you would have to get FOUR TIMES what you get on the ground, to be just as fast in space.

900k weapon + 90k combat = 60k FS xp
3,600,000 starship combat = 60k FS xp (at a 60:1 ratio)

Now, do you honestly think that you can earn almost 4 million space xp in 1 hour?

Some people say they can get 320k FS xp in 1 buff using commando / grenades. That would require:

19,200,000 starship combat xp = 320k FS xp (in 3 hours!)
4,800,000 Weapon + 480,000 combat xp = 320k FS xp

Now, do you think you can earn almost TWENTY MILLION xp in space in 3 hours? Thats over SIX MILLION PER HOUR!

Lets be kind, and say you can magically blow up gunboats all day long in a group near instantly so you get tons of space xp. Lets also assume that this is max exploitation of the space system (heh, IMO tier 4 duty missions are the best xp). You would have to kill 180 gunboats an hour - thats THREE GUNBOATS PER MINUTE! Thats a gunboat every twenty seconds! Whoa, you are moving if you can do that. Unrealistic as hell IMO.

Frankly, space is inferior to the ground, when it comes to raw numbers earning xp, because people exploit an incredibly flawed ground game all to hell, so the conversion arguement where you can get so much in space, doesnt work. Its flawed, NO ONE can out earn in space, what you can do on the ground.

lol I hear that. I just found a way a few days ago to cap my rifle and combat exp in about 45 minutes. no way anyone could approach that in space.
