imo people complaining about missles being cheap just don't want to spend 900 mass on a countermeasure, or don't have 5k mass to spend on a launcher.

"it's cheap because i dismissedit's importance!" sour grapes even.

but seriously, if you prove to be hard to hit, i'm going to shoot a missle at you, no matter what. people in larger fighters should consider it a sign of respect. people in ROTW fighters should consider it a sign of disdain.

Hehe. Some people should just consider missiles before completing their loadout

Just remember: Common sense just isn't common anymore

I think a good way to balance E-Pulse would be simple: make it survivable. Have it deal a total damage rather than same damage to all targets. I.e. if it hits 3 targets, spread the damage out maybe. Anything that can kill unlimited players in a (not very) limited space is a bit too powerful. I use it in my Krayt sometimes, in my Belly as well. I love doing it, and I hate receiving it. When I'm holding off 5 + Reb pilots till my backup gets there, I have no problem using it. In a 1 on 1, it's a crutch, plain and simple.

I think the reward outweighs the risk. F3 = 6 kills? come on! Like Leiph said, it's an "I win" button no matter how you slice it

Freelance already has the easiest storylines, to give them such an unbelievable weapon might be a little unbalanced. Again, I have it, I use it (fun in PvE), but I would never rely on it. My navy does not approve its use in PvP unless facing truly overwhelming odds.

My favorite ship remains the Decimator. Flying it (or any PoB) requires a whole different kind of skill. I mine and powerlevelin a Krayt, PvP in an Actis, Belly, or Crimson, depending on which char I'm flying. I don't know about your servers, but on Intrepid, the state of the galaxy simply requires a small, agile ship if you want to actuallycompete. When guildies call on me for PvE help, I fly my Oppressor, and love it! Perhaps we can all agree on there not being a best ship.

My most recent loadout on my Oppressor leaves no room for missles (even if it has3 hardpoints). 5k guns and 84-86 turns, 2555 shields, you know, all the good rewards well-RE'd. It's an interesting Oppressor. Flying against myself, I know I'd win most often in the smaller ship though.

Next someone's gonna start arguing the merits of a KSE in 1 on 1 citing "personal opinion". Get real.

Fear the pilot not the ship? Duh.

Fear the Jedi, not the saber.

Still, all else being equal, the guy with the better saber or the better ship will win. It's just awfully rare that all else is equal. Still this is what you must imagine to compare ships. I'd like to think a good pilot is versatile enough to fly any ship available. a DOMINANT pilot knows how to win in all of them.

If we came to toss platitudes around, quite a few of us are wasting our time.

(Note, not one poster claiming missles are bad for PvP)

Pacify. Dominate. Annihilate.
