One of the things that bugs me the most about Deep Space is the fact that I can't enter as an RSF pilot if I've already declared. Say for instance that the system messages warning of an attack on the ISD were implemented. If I was already overt and wanted to defend the ISD, I'd have to hyperspace to Royal Way or Corellia's Own, land, launch again, run my droid programs, hyperspace to Dark Force, fly the 7k to the Last Nav station and then I could finally enter Deep Space. Altogether I'm looking at a four to five minute process. On the other hand, my Imperial pilot friends would get the message, hyperspace to Durillium Sea and be in Deep Space in about a minute. I'd get left out of a lot of pvp.

i don't care what the developers say. that is a flat out defect and a dumb one. i mean if you couldn't go overt anywhere else i'd understand the rationale, i wouldn't agree with it, but i'd understand it. i should have put that on my list.

I'm in the Navy and I work Aviation Maintenance. I get to listen to pilots all day. They use this word all the time. It's even a specific word for a combat maneuver employed by the AV-8B Harrier. Personally, I like to say I was "yankin' and bankin'" but that's just me.

I do have one comment though. How come all everyone ever talks about is soloing the SD, but no one ever talks about soloing the Rebel Station??

And one more observation, space PvP isn't just absent in Deep Space. It's absent everywhere. I'm only a 3/3/3/2 (damn that last Inquisition mission), but I go overt every chance I get for FP when I smoke tier 4 and 5 X-wings and such. In all my travels, I have yet to see anyone else overt anywhere. I may not have been looking hard enough, I may not have been in the right place. But I'm overt 90% of the time I'm in space. I did get lucky last night though. I caught someone by surprise in his A-Wing (I wasin my INT)while he was camping a tier 3 spawn in Endor. He came back for seconds, sent me a /tell that said "I'm gonna pwn you for that." Naturally, my thought is "awww, it's on like donkey kong." He comes in way too fast and overshoots. I rolled over top, tucked in behind himand stayed there. Stayed there for about two minutes actually. I left him a smoking hulk after that. I patted my high roll/high pitch engine and flew off.

But that's still just one guy. I guess what I'm saying is, all I see on these boards is master pilots complaining about PvP and one shot kills, but there aren't many mid-level pilots like me on here saying that PvP sucks all around. Mid-level guys won't do it because they fear gettin ganked by the Aces. So they wait to become aces themselves before they think about PvP. Then when they make ace and have the uber weapons and all the necessary droid programs, they still don't PvP. They won't do it outside of Deep Space because of decay. They won't do it in Deep Space because fights last about 10 seconds and take 3-5 shots (so I've heard, I'm not an ace yet). Whether it works or not, no one (well, a small few)is PvP'ing.
