The only bonus to a mp ship is helping lower level pilots and the rp aspect of it. No tactical advantage is gained like it should be.

Its a whole different ballgame once you get the Elite components. Below Tier 4, the only things that threaten you are the Tier 3 capital ships in Kashyyyk space. Nothing else touches you. Against fighters alone, a POB captain can solo Kessel or Deep Space, and from the outcome of my last run, they can smoke Tier 5 VT-49s with a modicum of effort. YE-4's you do NOT get into slugging matches with, but you can somewhat effectively missile them into extinction before they beat you up too much.


For PvE, I've come to the conclusion a properly practiced crew can easily accomplish anything a fighter group can do. Maybe not as fast as four fighters, but certainly no less capable. With the recent revelation about CapShunting from gun turrets, a POB in my mind is now only competing for performance against a group of three pilots for combat parity, which lowers the bar considerably. There's nothing wrong with them PvE wise, its as I've said before, a COMPLETELY different way of thinking than a starfighter.

I agree with Janu. A properly trained and practiced crew can do soem amazing stuff. It also helps to have soem fighters fly cover to deal with those A wings that most human gunners have trouble with.

For the original poster I think a multiplier for parts when put on a PoB would be the best long term fix. Make it say 2 for level 10 and under components and then 2.5 for the PoB parts. That would add a lot to teh shields with out much trouble and with otu every one needing to go out and refit their ships. THis would only work for armor and shields. Don't need it on the guns. Guns hit hard enoguh and shoot fast enough. I perfer mark 5 crafted over PoB guns. More to do with the graphic and my gunners seem to hit more often with them. Don't know why. But then I perfer to fly my krayte or Bel-22 over my JSF.
