Must be a tough decision. Either that or Tiggs is super busy.
Probably both. Lots comming out right now and I know that at least 3 or 4 of the applicants (including me /plug) would all make great corro's....
All in due time I guess.
- Are you knowledgeable about the Pilot profession?
- Are you a community leader?
- Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?
- Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?
The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for the Pilot Profession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.
Some things that you need to consider when applying:
- Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen with long time involvement.
- Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.
- Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.
- Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.
- Please include your forum name in the letter
If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Pilot Correspondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.
After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.
We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.
Thank you.
*Note: please make your letter the main body of the text. E-mail attached items are automatically deleted as part of our spam filter.

Not once we're through reinstating Monsofo.

Knowledgable, yes.
Community leader, no.
Objective and relavant.... not really.
Like organizing.. no.
Count me out
I think im too opinionated for the job anyway, nobody in their right mind would want a jackarse like me as coro even IF i had the time to donate to the job.
I am gonna give it a shot, though. Considering the billions of great pilots we've got around here, I'm sure we'll end up with someone with a good chance of filling Monsofo's voluminous shoes.

Yeah, I know. I read it. The above post was a declaration of intent versus an actual application.... LOL!

Only problem with being this Correspondent is the utter lack of any JTL attention. JTL is the official "Red-Headed Step-Child" of SWG. No effort has been made to fix any of the glaringly obvious problems, which could explain the short tenures of the Correspondents for Pilot.
What obvious problems? Let's start with PvP. I can hold my own before any get on that rant, but it is a one shot, one kill affair. Look at the busted alarm artwork which has gone ignored. God bless whoever takes on this daunting task.
Well, in my opinion, and many others, I think JTL is well thought out and works better than any other system in the game from a combat perspective. Pre or post the combat downgrade, JTL is quite well balanced. Yes it has some problems, but even so, the biggest problem to fix is coming...they have new and better components for POB ships coming. This also solves a bunch of Ship Wright issues in respect to sales and usefulness.
There are bugs, no arguing, but PvP has been beat to death on both sides, but at least the server I play on has a very successful PvP environment. It is different than the ground game. You have to look at it more in a twitch style...*shrug*
The issues in JTL are not nearly as large or glaring as the ground, and not even close to as bad as CURB *shudder*
