Thread: The Z key 'target enemy player macro which can't be done phenomenon'

Ok Quad. Sorry about that. I should have just hit the hay rather than type a grumpy post. As for whoever said about mapping them to a joystick and being an ace pilot...well simply put, no. Z works fine and I'm a mouse and keyboard pilot. Before you rant on about what makes an ace, don't bother. In my experience...and not applying this to everyone, but those who rant on about their super high tech equipment such as uber joypads, tend to be the ones who can't deliver the goods in the sky. Whether a key is right next to me or on the other side of the keyboard makes no difference to me...I got long fingers
In fact since the conversation seems to have gone that way, I find that it seems to be a 50/50 split between the 'aces' who use keyboard and mouse and those who use flightstick. Neither is more advantageous over the other as it is down to preference and what one finds the most efficient for them. As for you, CuchulainnDarklight in making that comment about what makes a true ace, you're wrong and rather arrogant in making that statement. What equipment you use doesn't translate as skill in the sky.

1. Go back and read my post again, it is really sad when you have to actually add in smileys so that people get teh fact you are taking the mick
2. My joystick only has 8 buttons plus a trigger and i never need to use the keyboard except for the Fhotkeys, Ive seen those mad joysticks with loads of buttons on them but i would just forget which one is which
1. I'm not takign the mick. If I was, I'd be outright about it.
2. Frankly I don't care about this subject anymore and it is over now. I'm not getting into some petty arguement with someone I probably wouldn't have an arguement with otherwise. Just forget it and move on ok? The macro idea is obviously not popular even thoughmany before me have said things about it before hence the reason I ressurected the idea little bit so meh...shoot me.

You have to remember that i am, and always will be british, therefore, everything I say will have a certain amount of humourous content to it,
For Example,
"I hate nubships!"
Here 33% ("nubships") is a jokey term but it is ensconed inside a comment which states what i really feel, therebey alleviating the sting of what i say!
You yanks (and other foreign types) have your umpteen conspiracy theories, whilst we brits know the true conspiracy is that the doctors surgically remove your sense of humour at birth. Hence you talk about our stoical "stiff upper lips" when in actuallity our lips our stiff because why are trying not to laugh at you (that was a joke by the way!)

We get comedy, but you were being a little to subtle.

English? Thats even worse than a septic to be honest. But tbh, you really dont want me to unsubtle in my humour, it tends to be darker than the inside of the Maw! Better for it to go over your head than through your souls! (and im not putting a smiley in!) Oh all right then
Its ok. Yeh I'm a brit. Do what you like to be honest, on more sane days I'd understand it. I should really stop posting at 3:30am in the morning...its a bad time for me

me too, when i post in the small hours it is a hint that i might be more than slightly inebriated, sexually satiated, or a delicous combination of both! (though if im really honest its normally mostly the former and not the latter more is the pity.
