I would use one as my main domicile. I would decorate the crap out of it and float over Naboo or Tantooine or Corellia and get rid of my large house on planet and replace that with a small house to make into a Vendor location. I might end up using it for combat missions, but that likely wouldn't be done as often as I would be flying in a formation with other team mates.

just spend pilot prestige as suggested earlier, some real high amount.. its gotta be over 100mill. And space and ground content needs to be mingled more, u guys complain about having to do stuff on the ground but with rotw alot of ppl had to master pilot in order to get quest loot. It encourages the use of space and ground from both groups of players so its a nice addition..
If prestige were to be used maybe use it to purchase the schems off a faction recruiter or do a ground quest to be able to speak to the person. Nothing to hard but just something that encourages some ground skills. If pilots had to use insane amounts of prestige points for schems maybe in parts then SW get a role in this and the ships wont be over common.

I'm sure it will be guild requirement-like, with a minimum number of players guilded together. Player association rules similar to setting up towns.2. It will be immensly expensive for any single person to own one, so people will have to work together to get one.I mean, this is the most logic way to go I think.
It's also the most limiting.
An entire guild isn't on at all times. What happens if the Guildmaster isn't going to be on for a week or two and the rest of the group wanted to use the Cap Ship?
What happens if the key people who have access to the Cap Ship aren't on, but there are more then enough other guild members ready and willing to go up and crew a cap ship?
Cap ships need to be accessible to all players, just like everything else in the game is. You don't need to be a member of a PA to become a Jedi, you don't need to be a member of a PA to get Mandolorian armor, you don't need a PA to master pilot.
I belong to a PA, with a group of people that have been playing the game with me since day 1 of the original launch. I am not talking as though I am some bum who never groups, never works with others and never joins in group projects. I am talking as someone who is a casual gamer and enjoys the prospect of having everything in the game currently be accessible to me. If Cap Ships aren't accessible to me, as in owning it myself, then there will be no reason for me to purchase a Capital Ship expansion.
What good would it be if the only way to Master pilot would be if you happened to be a member of a PA with a certain number of members? How much would it suck to lose your Master Pilot status if your PA fractures and falls beneath that minimum number?
Right now, everything is accessible with time and effort. Any additional expansions should have the vast majority of the content also be available through time and effort and not have some kind of arbitrary limit on who can access such items.
