i am sorry to say this but capital ships as player ships is so wrong!!! if lets say they give us weapons that means i can use my capital ship and blast all ships in the sky around me by giveing a command. now as a bace ship were you can fly out from and clone at ok but as a combat ship no way that will truly make the jtl unbalanced

thats really dum way of looking at it look players wont attack the dang thing in a A wings or interceptors you need to take it in big groups or like another capital ship not solo people on planet shouldbe alterted saying a imperial star destoryer has entered the system or a rebel (captial ship name here dont know it) so the rebels know to avoid it unless there in a big group

Man, nice work, Joras and Geevo. Knew I liked you guys for a reason.

There's a surprising amount of info here, really, but I'll see if I can't pry a bit more out of them, along with making a few recommendations for how to pull this off. Oh, and if anyone's got any thoughts or suggestions on implementation, may as well make them here. Keep it constructive, though--we know some other ships have some balance problems. They're not the issue: this completely exciting news is.

Tomo, I like the concept, however I think they need to bring POB ships up to better viability before adding anything more. and mebe squash all the current bugs in space? With the RoTW implimentation, I'm dubious of all the new problems this could introduce. Yes, my own vette would be cool, but I want it to be useful, not just something to get, play with for a day, then redeed 'cause it's not defendable.

Lastly, RoTW really shafted the shipwrights. I'm opposed to any more quest reward ships. Make them big, make them resource costly, and make them craftable.

my 2 creds

I agree in some ways... but consider this... almost everyone who is really into space (and doesn't care too much about ground game) has shipwright in their template... so that is probably why it's so hard to sell ship chassis...

Definitely POB ships need some attention (survivability being the main issue, and rounding up people to actually man one is the second issue)...

my problem with POB ships is... theres no purpose to them... it's not like they are designed to be fighting ships, they're stock light freighters etc.... we need a reason to have freighters before people will be willing to crew them....

Overall though, it's exciting news to have capital ships really coming into the game... as long as they are as great and rare as jedi and the battles to obtain them/capture them/raid them are as big and exciting as star wars should really be...

I only have a few thoughts on this other than that this sounds completely awesome.

1- Anything larger than a corellian corvette should be guild owned in my opinion

2-Possibly have large cap. ships for each faction in certain zones and they would be unmovable, like for the imps have a stationary super star destroyer and for the rebels have that big ship that they had in the end of episode IV (i forget the name of it) and ofcourse have a neutral one as well.

well thats all, im out
