First person, with cockpit on

I usually fly 1st just because thats what I'm used to from flying flightsims since FS3. I typically turn the cockpit off for better visibility since my y-wing longprobe has a horrible view with it on. As far as controls I use a Saitek X-35 joystick and throttle attachment. I couldn't possibly use mouse and keyboard because I am constantly using rudder controls to roll and I am constantly adjusting my speed to optimize turning rates. I've tried 3rd person and it is too "arcade"y for me. But that is just MHO.

I like 3rd person, I can see more

To turn the cockpit off go into the Options section and I think it's in the controls or misc sections. It will say something like turn on/off cockpit frames or something like that.

I fly first person, cockpit view on. Gotta love theTIE cockpit, great forward visability while still offering some immersion.

I fly 3rd person PvE 1st PvP...easier to line person up from 2k out in 1st person mode,in 3rd sometimes you can lose the ship if background is bright (red line above ship is higher in 3rd person mode as well)

First person, cockpit on. I love my z-95s cockpit, plus I'm an x-wing series fan.

You never know where the Defel Spy will be, until you flip the light switch.

1st person, cockpit off, just to have the full screen view.

Sometimes I fight 3rd person to see a bit more annimation from my ship.
