Character transfer to Sunrunner FTW .

I'd recommend keeping your looted parts and putting together a good RE'd level 4 or 6 capacitor. In a level 6 you can aim for over 1200 energy and 49 recharge. Aside from that, I'd recommend picking up a TIE Bomber anyway...heavier, nastier stuff can be packed in, and it's good practice learning the flight style of heavier ships. If you can master a bomber, you'll be able to handle any non-interceptor craft out there with great ease.

Yes, droid programs are essential.

One quick way to find droid programs is just to browse several shipwright stores. As a shipwright on Lowca, I stock all 3 Faction droid programs. I have a couple of Master Pilots who works for me, I give them a good deal on RE'd parts and they program chips for me on their spare time. Usually when I get parts to RE, I toss them a crate of chips and by the time I finish RE'ing and naming the item, they've gotten a whole crate of chips programmed.

Since I have a huge stock of loot (currently around 500+ items) of all levels, all they really need to bring in is a couple of ringer parts for RE, and I fill in the rest, and voila. Obviously, Level 6, 8, 10 engines are premium. With level 7,8,9,10 Weapons coming in second. The rest are filler. Anyways, the point of the matter is that just browse through shipwright stores. Most full service shipwright stores would have a droid chip vendor.

If it's empty mail the manager, and most likely would stock it right away. WO3, RO3/RO4, CTSS3/4 are huge sellers, I sell all chips for 25K (So expect to pay that much, I'm mid range... Some are lower and I've seen others charge 40k) yes it's a bit pricey, but I stock all faction droid programs, which is kinda hard to find.

The name of the items are called Ready Chips.

Then again, I see the Shipwright store becoming specialist stores, as honestly there's too much stuff to create for Shipwright. I started by stocking missiles and chaff, but that became a straight commodity, and well I'd always run out as resellers would come and buy out my stock and resell them. I was heavy into crafting, but that took out too much time. Now my main business is RE'd parts and chips. This allows me to spend most of my time in space. Droid Chips don't take too much time to put into a factory, and with my RE addicts feeding me chips, it's a good working relationship.

As for shipwrights, there's a natural progression to different products.

Novice - Master Shipwrights - Ship Chassis

New Master Shipwrights - Mediocre parts, missiles, chaff & paint kits.

Established Shipwrights - 17 point parts, Droid Chips, RE'd Items

Been too long in the business Shipwrights - "By Appointment only" RE'd items for auction.

So in conclusion. Do a vendor search for RE'd parts on your server. Check out the shipwright store, and you'll see most full service shipwrights have them.

Secondly for Grinding Tier 4.

Chiss Poachers are excellent. Also go to Endor and do the Evil Raider Spawn. Nice big fat juicy slow moving Tier 3 Dunelizards.

Thirdly as for your TIE Interceptor..

This is one of the best chassis in the game. My Imperial friend uses it all the time. For the longest time it was outfitted with RE'd Level 6 and below parts and he was an Ace Imperial Pilot. So the interceptor is fast, and outfitted right can be a monster. Granted now it's fitted with Level 8 RE'd engine, and a Level 7 RE'd weapon. Which as a 4433 pilot you can fly. He routinely flies it and it's his favorite ship. I've seen it do some destruction and mayhem and I'm quite proud of my RE work.

I don't know how Chiss poachers con to you as an Imp but for Rebel me they are a good grinding choice. They are T4 so good xps but for me they are blue , I can attack them , at wich point my target turn red. So the ship I attack become an ennemy but the others keep flying around, no aggro. Occasionally I will accidently hit a second while fighting a first, but I can deal with two of them at the same time.

So I would check them out and see how they con to you. If they attack you on sight it might be a tad much to handle, or they could be buddies and non attackable at all, I have no clue for an Imp pilot.
IF it is like me and you are not sure you can deal with 2 just be extra sure not to hit with a stray blaster bolt a ship that decided it was a good idea to fly right in your line of fire.

The Chiss Poacher Outpost is where I'm grinding now. I started Saturday evening as a Rebel Pilot 3333 with only about 300k XP banked. By Sunday evening I was a Rebel Pilot 4433. That's about 1.7M XP. I'm going to go back to grinding after I upgrade my ship and my components. It should make the kills quicker.

May the Force be with you.

With RO3, EO3, and WO3 running, just doing the destroy duty missions makes it go by pretty dang quickly. Shouldn't take you more than a few days of moderate grinding with that. I never had to do more than three bosses before I had my mil.

On the Tier 4, once I got 44xx, I went to Kessell to grind the rest of the Tier 4 lines. The xp is much better in kessell, and if you go overt, the faction is nice too... oh, beware going overt, as you can and will get attacked by other players if they see you. But then, I almost never see anyone else out there.

Everytime I have done Tier 4, I have done the duty missions.

Why?

Because A. You don't have to compete for kills and B. It's guaranteed spawns, and to be honest, will get you ready to be a real pilot instead of a grind pilot.

As a rebel pilot, I know that doing the destroy missions is a good way to gauge your ship and components because if you can complete the mission, then you are pretty good to go as far as components.

Completing the entire mission (which is about 8 or 9 different waypoints..I can' t remember the exact number) gives you 9K in the bank (at the end, you get rewards for each wave completed), you get good loot, and the XP is (for the first time mastery) about 750K xp.

But hey...that's me.
