I was overt in my HVY TIE doing missions so I could get FP while getting space xp. seem to make since to me. I am pretty alert because I know you have to be . have never PVP in space because I am working my way up the profession. I was 3222 at the time. I was docking at Neboo and saw a reb docking also but he was on the other side of the dock and not attacking so I did not eather. I was docking ( then I got the do you want to retrospec question ( i still have not used my token , but you have to clear the screen every change of location, I guess it is suppost to annoy you so you will use it.) While I was trying to answer it I got blown up. All I saw was as grivious fighter pass from behind me to in front of my. I never felt a shake nor saw any message of who killed me . that sure was fast. does not seem that PVP would be very fun if one pass kills happen . LOL

I killed the Ravager once for kicks while overt and got something like 100 fp, turned around and killed the tier5 YE-4 escort and got 240fp for each boat....

wow?

My off the cuff guess is to keep the reward down to discourage farming the Kessel corvette so people aren't being gated from mastery by FP farmers.

Big difference in an actual fight and getting ganked sitting at a space station

Then I guess you are a Jedi on the ground too?

No... I'm not into the whole jedi thing. I work on my FS skills when we have guild hunts but other than that I spend most of my time in space. That is just what I prefer.

I'm not into the whole jedi thing either. It ruins the whole OT Star Wars feel.

Remember the screen shot of the Jedi Koosh ball? Now replace the ground with space and the jedi with jedi starfighters. That's where space PvP is currently heading.

Good, get enough of'em together and you can open up full faulkner and not miss the little b*stards. Change that hitbox for a hitcrate.

yeah... it kinda got on my nerves. so every now and then I load up a heavy starter ship and fly around overt at starter ship speeds and hang out around space stations. I love the hate tells I get after some jerk makes a run at me and I spin around and send a L10 blaster bolt into his cockpit.

Hmm, I wonder if anyone can confirm the FP from a Deep Space Corvette?

78 fp for DS corvettes.

Also someone said that pvp isn't fun with one run deaths.. I couldn't disagree with you more. It all abotu getting into posistion for the kill. No shields, healthbars, packs, powers, ect. Its a actual dog fight. Most of the FPS games I play tho- are like that. RVS GR ECT.

Vettes arent worth the time or effort for FP.

You get 100ish off a teir 5 nova or deci.
Reb gunboats are like 192 FP a kill.

the top pilots on Starsider fly JSF's, not all but most. From what Tomo has told me when I asked him about what ship, he recommendedto fly in PvP. He said that I should use the JSF because it had a smaller hit box. So I tried it out and started using in our sort-of weekly PvP Battles. then I started hearing all the crap about JSF's but there was Tomo still in his as well as a couple rebel top pilots. I think it is because a top pilot knows every advantage should be taken. while winning is not nessesary for fun, why not be at your best. I say if your best is in a JSF then use it, don't forsake it and pretend to be somehow superior to those that do use it, and if your best is in a y-wing LP or Oppressor use that. It is all about your fighting style and what ship works best with it, not what other people think or whether you think it is a crutch/exploit or not.
