Thanks - that's useful information to have on hand, I'll definitely make sure I do it that way going forward.
As to the question another poster asked about whether my engine is RE or crafted? I'm not certain how that has a bearing on the matter, can you please elaborate?

A question about an earlier point :
Free repairs in DS. How do you get them ? do you need to get yourself blown up in DS to get the decay free repairing ?

You get repaired when you leave deep space. Any possible way you can think of getting to another sector counts as leaving.

I've got a computer with just the level 3 over loads, but I keep CtSS 3 and 4. Some times it nice to be able to not dump all of your cap.
