I have one pre-nerf lvl 6 from when I did RSF. Not RE'ed yet. Armor is down to 56 and hitpoints around the same. Gonna RE it in the next day or so.

Their exactly the same as the curret reward engines expcept the top speed is 92 instead of 79. The changed it because an engine that light, that fast, they thought was over the top.

Can you ever have a ship component "dead", as in the condition goes to 0 points and can no longer be used. I have 2 more post-nerf engines that i'm keeping to RE just in case my pre-nerf dies one day.

I'm pretty sure parts will never decay below 10 HP and 10 armor. And guess what the damage on EO4 is?

18.

In other words, a component's functionality can never be reduced or ruined. You might get disabled if you cut yourself shaving, but they've got to get through your shields first.

Though it could be that when your engine is at 2/20 total HP, it'll be operating poorly, at 10% capacity or whatever.. but (correct me if I'm wrong) droid commands don't reset until you repair completely, meaning you should be able to repair 25-50% a few times and have your engine operating without compromise while still running EO4.

Anyway, I'm sure one of my pre-nerfs will be down there eventually, so I'll find out for sure one of these days.

If you had an engine that was reduced down to only 10/10, you could always just go to Deep Space, run EO4 there, and then hyper out. Any program you run while in Deep Space will still be running when you exit.

Well that's awesome Adonis. I've always seen my droid programs drop when leaving Deep Space, so I'd just assumed there was no way to keep them running with the free repairs. It's sounding like components can be useful for an infinite amount of time, then.

92.2 speed, 63.2 PYR, I think 2100 energy drain, and something like 13400 mass. But yeah, the only stat that's different from the current ones is speed.

Oh yeah, they've also got something like 550 armor/HP. Ideally, anyway; most of these are pretty beat up.

Ilooted one in october or nov.. It took me 3 weeks to RE. If I remember right its now:

97 speed

68-69 YPR

9k mass

350 HP/AP

I dont use it anymore. Its just a trophy right now in a house. I've RE'd better ones that have like 70-80 YPR. But only like 81 top speed. But considering my speed is normaly setaround 350 to fight AI, I see no point in decaying the Inferno. Unless a major PVP even takes place on valcyn, I'll keep my inferno on mothballs.

I have 1 prenerf engine RE'd to 95.9 max speed and about 9.5k mass. It's still got 400 armour. I find that using specific repair kits results in less decay to the component. So I always carry engine, weapon and capacitor repair kits for my RE'd super stuff and then All purpose repair kits for everything else and also a conduit repair kit for multiplayer ships.

1 prenerf'd engine. It's a museum piece in my pilot's shrine. I never use it anymore. It's up there for people to gaze at.

I've got two. One I earned, the other I traded my ADK for it. The RE'd one is 95.9 speed with high 60s low 70s YPR. I'm still looking for the perfect parts to make the RE on the 2nd.

I've earned 2 post-nerf engines, and can't buy pre-nerf engines on Shadowfire for any amount of money.
