I have only experienced this bug in one encounter(and I've been playing JTL since beta), and muchlike someone postedpreviously it was against the Imperial Guard interceptor's above kashyyyk. When I ran into em (this was aprox. a week after RotW download came out, andI was testing trying my new Adv. X-Wing) ,I found my lasers couldn't do any damage to them, they were at 100% shields the entire time I unloaded on them. LuckilyI had a full payload of Mark IV's and I was easily able to destroy them with the proton torps. Looks like it may be some thing with laser damage

I saw this the other day when helping a friend do the RSF tier 4 BlackSun destroy mission.

Basically I was just disable things for him to kill an get exp. I was semi board an was trying some new tactics an trying to let him develop his fighting skills. What happend is I learned something new... 5 BlackSun spawned in close to me an I was doing about 50 speed, they went straight for him an passed me up without a shot I turned on them an got behind them targeted one of them an then targeted its engine to disable it. Well 3 of them were so close I sort of shot at all 3 at one time moving my target window left an right an right an left making sure I was hitting all of them ... then to my SUPRISE I saw the you disabled your target message 3 times in a row. I was WOW 3 of 5 disabled in under 10 seconds. Well this got me thinking an I started to play more in targeting one of them an targeting its engine to disable it then going after things that were closer to me... Worked like a charm I was disable ships that I did not actually have targeted.

Well in doing this for a few hours I did run across 2 ships that this tactic did not work on. I mean I beat the wolfsnuff out of them for over a minute an never lost sight of them. I lit them up like a 4th of July fireworks show, but they did not go disabled or blow up [seeing I did not actually have them targeted I could not tell if I was doing damage or not to them]. I backed off them an went back after the mob I had actually targeted an disbled it an then went back after the other ships an they all blew up.

I use 0.25 refire rate weapons 2 lvl 7 .75x vs shield an 1 lvl 9 .75x vs armor. 1lvl 7 shiled weapon is mounted on the wings of my gunboatthis gives me a bit wider shotthat helps at times... I seriously did almost as muchwhat appeared to be damage to them as it takes me to take out a rebel gunboat from 540 m directly behindit,[key word almost] before I gave up on them thinking they must have some type of invincibility bug [at least unless I actually had them targeted].

You will lose sync sometimes with the game inspace. I lost connection from my ISP and was able to get back on in the time alotted before they eject you back to the ground. Anyways, I would try and attack something and they wouldn't be dealt damage. Helping my friend, his stats read 100% like he wasn't hurt. Than I get a tell saying he died again and his ship vanishing O.o

On the ground, you can notice this when you have a passenger in your vehicle. They will literally be stuck in there and they can't get out. Another instance would be when you can't see someone in a player city, though they are standing right next to you. /Findfriend would reveal that they were next to you, but you can't target him or anything (This has been going on PreCU).

It took me about what, a half an hour or so to take down tier 3 blacksuns?

I was doing a duty mission for the Dathomir Space Station. IT was around 7pm EST or so.

Very frustrating.

I dont know if its this or not, but lately when I go into space, using a jedi starfighter, level 7-8 components, reward parts, etc., its taking far longer than usual for me to wipe out death watch near the red sin chimaera hyperspace point. Used to be able to kill loads of them in a half hour, now it takes what seems like an eternity to kill the rhirkks (sp?) or whatever the heavy bs fighter is called, and the khirahz fighters are practically untouchable. Normally I can clear them out before respawn, now I cant.

I have to admit I have not seen this in my PvE experience lately (I am currently reflying up different squadrons and started with Imperial Inquisition), but I did see invincibility when it concerned myself. I am not sure if this is normal since my last docking was December of last year, but today for every mission that I had to dock I planned to use CtSS to survive. Only thing is that when I was docked I was completely untouchable. I watched hit after hit splash off my side with 0 damage done. This happened 100% of the timewhen docked. After I finish Imperial Inquisition tomorrow I plan to fly up Black Epsilon, and will report if this occurs again. Of course I am not 100% positive that you should not be invincible when docked, but I would swear I recall taking damage when docked for my Storm Squadron missions.

I'm not sure if this counts, but this has happened to me on a few (2-3) occasions.

Me: Flying a Grevious with Reward Blaster RE'd and a lvl 6 non Re blaster
Opponent: Tier5 TIE in deep space

I was directly behind the ship, possibly 30 meters back and firing non stop, the shields were appearing to flash constantly. After about 10 shots shields hadn't gone down by 1%. Finally I slowed down and led in front of the ship and fired until I heard the "clink clink" of the blaster bolts "hitting". Finally it would take damage.

I thought that I just couldn't hit unless I was directly behind someone. I would blast away and rarely hit when shooting at their side. I would cream them in seconds once I got behind them which is alot easier in my new ship

Happened flying both a Dunelizard and my new Belbullab-22 fighting Asteroid Bandits in many systems and some science bodyguards in Endor space.

Wait, this isn't a feature?

I was under the impression the hitbox for ships was very small compared to their physical size, and if you didnt hit within this "box" you got a glancing blow off their shields which does not deplete them.

To be honest it would be pathetically easy if every shot on these ships counted as a full blow.

As it is already PvE in Space is very very very very VERY easy. The fighters are inconsequential, and the larger ships all have terrible blind spots.

My pings went sky high within the last 2 days (no system changes). My ping counter stays stuck at a specific value in space. On land its ok. I get constant bumble-bee pathing now in space.... I feel like I am back in december all over again w/o X-mas. Cause of the improper positioning (due to server lag) it looks like I am hitting them (whether using the reticle or not) but no damage.

I don't get what is causing it. I can quickly log into any other game and have great pings w/o lag. As soon as I get into space in SWG my lag sticks at 1400+ PL is 0% but my bandwidth is fluctuating (I have cable that is working fine atm.)

You know, when I was watching that video, I did notice most of the hits that weren't doing damage were being fired from a position where they shouldn't actually be hitting.. i.e., from straight on, as opposed to leading the target and firing where they will be when your blaster gets there. I was just messing around with some enemy ships and could duplicate the effect at will. And I don't think that's a bug. I'll need to rewatch that video a couple times to make sure that's all it is, but this may have been a false alarm.

I'm not unconvinced there's not a problem with the Crimson TIEs, though. Post on the difficulty to damage them pop up on a fairly regular basis.

I know for certian that there is an invincibility bug that affects all fighter-class npc ships at least, if it helps,I'llinstall something frapslike and get somefootage of it happening. It is definatelynot angle based, and when it kicks in....makes alltargets completelyindestructable, and when it passes, they all pop like balloons again.

It is really clear when fighting low level kimos, since they are basically the manatee of the stars.

Very true- but there shouldn't be any flare effects or sounds that I'm hitting the ship vs hitting that target reticle if I'm not actually hitting anything. Since space is twitch-based, if I shoot something and it looks like it hits, I'm gonna keep shooting at itwhile it looks like it's hitting.

I'd hate to think that we're so bound to that green targetting reticle that using simple hand-eye shots (i.e. shooting the ship itself) and seeing hits is going to be misleading.
