rofl...I think he agreed with you on the first line of post. Who doesn't read posts?

Damn skippy. You "whippersnappers" don't have ANY clue how good you have it now. I mean, Christ...if *I* had had a 1000-cert 95k mass TIE back in Nov. 2003, I'd have been able to SOLO EVERYTHING.
But NO! I had to make due with a 20k mass TIE for Tier 1, a 40k for Tier 2, a 50k for Tier 3, and my grand reward, a 65k ship for Tier 4. I hated the Bomber and Aggressor, and rightfully so - they're tanks, not zonal supremacy fighters.
And you wanna know what I learned, through a trial by fire? How to make equipment FIT around my weapons, because that's what we had to do in the (forgive me for this) "the old days."
We didn't get a 80k or 90k mass RGI or JSF, we got a 65k mass TIE-Advanced, and the DEVOTED around us paid a shipwright sometimes 150k MORE for a single thousand unit mass increase to 66.x thousand units. And WE made it work - those who couldn't flew Oppressors, it was that simple.
So please excuse me if I take a LITTLE offense/reservation at your insinuation that this game is "too hard/challenging/confusing/daunting/[insert descriptive adverb here]." Pilots get ships all of us would've given our left NUTS for just six months prior...and you get them for free.
FOR FREE, DAMMIT.
What in hells name are you smoking?
Were you born retarded, or just don't make use of that big blob of goo between your ears?
I don't know where the hell you came up with all this rubbish that I didn't learn to pilot in a Y-wing, and learn to use an A-wing, as I did, instead of this gunnery rubbish, and that somehow me saying that JTL has been dumbed down enough already insinuates that this game is too hard/challenging/confusing/daunting. I hate that the Developers have shat all over JTL with this Jedi Starfighter, Advanced this-that-and-the-other nonsense, so just what the hell was your verbal diahorrea splurge all about?
JTL has been dumbed down enough. I do not WANT any more of this 'make JTL easier, lower the mass on this, up the mass on that, waah waah waah' crap. I want my A-wing vs TIE Interceptor back. I want to go back to the days of getting into space on a rustbucket and learning your way around the galaxy, instead of being pulled through it kicking and screaming in a Multiplayer ship, never even really seeing the inside of a cockpit until you get your first X-wing or whatever.
Seriously, do you read a post, or just make a random troll and then read it?

And I definetly know what KaylBreinhar is talking about building the ship around the guns. On the TIE Heavy I'm working on all the components combined (including reactor, engine, shield, DI, booster, space bomb launcher, and chaff) will weight about 10k less than the single gun
I agree, the new heavy fighters, and then on top of that, the SW equipement patch, JTL is very easy. But, its kind of were I thought SOE wanted it. Before JTL launched, they had stated they had wanted it to be "arcade like" or kind of like a sim lite. There is still some challenging things to do, and also, we must remember, that most of us here on the pilot forums are "good pilots" not everyone that plays SWG is a "good pilot". To balance the game for us, would un-balance JTL for 90 percent of the people who play SWG. But yeah, it defenitly is much easier now.

Um, I would give advice, but it is more of what Ramona said.
I run a RE cert 8 engine, RE (reward)cert 8 shield, RE (both borstels) 2 cert 8 cannon, and 3 IR-II in my Oppressor. Things kinda evaporate in front of me ![]()
Oh, and as for Cert 10 cannons too heavy...fits in my RG Int just fine ![]()

Is that the boltdriver RE-ED? If it is actually a level 6 gun that thing is amazing. But i have a feeling its a type and MK7.

With regard to the idea of it being to hard/easy after RoTW... I mastered 8 of the 9 pilots pre-RoTW, 6 of these was solo from start to end (including Storm) While Imperial ships were sub-par compared to the other factions ships, I didnt have any problems whatsoever, even starting from scratch in a LD TIE (Ofcourse I was able to exchange parts on the go being SWright

Pace, Energy Pulse 3 can be classifed as a "I win" button
Took out 3 Axis JSF in a second... the 2 remaining JSF were to shocked/confused/whatever to get their flying together and I was able to kill them both guns only...
Hvy Scyk and XWing win against5 JSF? Imo it shouldnt be possible
epulse 3 can be easily avoided and every situation I hear about that it can be called an "I WIN" button is all situation specific. 2 people were flying too close together or the rest "were to shocked/confused/whatever to get their flying together". There is also pilot experience and skill... just because somebody has a badge doesn't make them any good.
people say that /lastditch is an "I WIN" button too but just like epulse there are negatives. up side is you win down side is you lose. if you don't die after epulsing somebody thenanyone flying with themmade some very critical errors. In the end something cann't be an "IWIN" button if it is only due to certainsituations.
