I wonder exactly what the Chassis dealers do with that loot?

Do they have a little vault somewhere?

I'd LIKE to think it gets recycled into the system, but if that were the case, people'd be looting used loot.

It most likely gets "sold for scrap" (i.e. deleted).

Reactor is too heavy, get a crafted, mass 7Kish or so.

Cap is too heavy, get a looted level 2 and use cap overload - mass 1500.

Booster is way too heavy, get a crafted level 1, mass under 1K, topspeed boost 30 for 8 seconds.

Droid Interface is too heavy, get a crafted Mark IV, mass under 7K, speed 14.2.

(Me, I'd drop both blasters to level 7 or 6, and add armor, and3 IR2 launchers, but then, I PvP in space.)

These can be SW crafted Mk I or II at 1k/3k mass will put out enough juice in combination with Reactor Overload 3/4 to power your ship. You're allowed to launch with power in the red.

Eng: 11939.5
I usually carry a level 8 engine (20 to 25k mass)

Shield: 17100.1
This should be you're L8 reward shield RE'd, fairly easy to RE down to 25k mass, 2550/2550 shielding.

Cap: 15241.9
Way too heavy, a Re'd level 4 or6 cap (3k/8k mass) will have regen of 40 to 50 with 1000+ energy.

Booster: 15453.2
I don't boost a lot, so I use the Reward level 4 booster, 3k mass

DI: 16547.4
I was fortunate enough to acquire a prenerf (14.9 speed, 500 mass). Don't know the weight of the current SW crafted, but I'm pretty sure it's lighter then this.

Wep 1: 34891.3
Wep 2: 34246.3
Well, both can be 10k lighter for a RE'd L8, or 10k Heavier for RE'd L10.

Mass 165152/170385

Reactor -13k
Engine +10k
Shield +10k
Booster -12k
DI est. -10k
Wep 1 +10k
Wep 2 -10k
Mass saved: 15k + current leftover = 20k mass for armor, chaff and missiles.
2 L8 guns and you've got 40k mass to turn it into a heavy missile boat

off the top of my head, you could use an RE'd cert 4 (maybe even a cert 2) capacitor, they can come out around 40 recharge rate. And around 3-4k mass.
The cert 4 reward booster can be RE'd nicely. I have several that are around 3k mass, 2k energy. 130 drain and 40-50 recharge.
Droid Interface, could always be smaller. Crafted ones around 15-20seconds should end up around 5-6k mass?
Engine, is that crafted? Could always try an RE'd cert 6 reward engine (82 top speed after the event), or maybe even the cert8 reward or the nym's starmap engine (Quantum Ion Drive) if you can beat the mass down on the other components (both are cert 8, can be RE'd down to ~24k mass)

How much generation does that reactor throw out? Since you're not toting 3 ordnance spots in that setup, I can't see that you need a massive reactor. Look at some cert 1-4's, I've got a 13k gen cert 3 in my belbullab, about 4k mass.

I can't say one way or the other about the Aggressor, I need more mass than that.

BUT, the TIE Bomber works like a charm for me, it's my absolute FAVORITE Imperial ship,

So don't go talking bad about it!

Damn skippy. You "whippersnappers" don't have ANY clue how good you have it now. I mean, Christ...if *I* had had a 1000-cert 95k mass TIE back in Nov. 2003, I'd have been able to SOLO EVERYTHING.

But NO! I had to make due with a 20k mass TIE for Tier 1, a 40k for Tier 2, a 50k for Tier 3, and my grand reward, a 65k ship for Tier 4. I hated the Bomber and Aggressor, and rightfully so - they're tanks, not zonal supremacy fighters.

And you wanna know what I learned, through a trial by fire? How to make equipment FIT around my weapons, because that's what we had to do in the (forgive me for this) "the old days."

We didn't get a 80k or 90k mass RGI or JSF, we got a 65k mass TIE-Advanced, and the DEVOTED around us paid a shipwright sometimes 150k MORE for a single thousand unit mass increase to 66.x thousand units. And WE made it work - those who couldn't flew Oppressors, it was that simple.

So please excuse me if I take a LITTLE offense/reservation at your insinuation that this game is "too hard/challenging/confusing/daunting/[insert descriptive adverb here]." Pilots get ships all of us would've given our left NUTS for just six months prior...and you get them for free.

FOR FREE, DAMMIT.

What in hells name are you smoking?

Were you born retarded, or just don't make use of that big blob of goo between your ears?

I don't know where the hell you came up with all this rubbish that I didn't learn to pilot in a Y-wing, and learn to use an A-wing, as I did, instead of this gunnery rubbish, and that somehow me saying that JTL has been dumbed down enough already insinuates that this game is too hard/challenging/confusing/daunting. I hate that the Developers have shat all over JTL with this Jedi Starfighter, Advanced this-that-and-the-other nonsense, so just what the hell was your verbal diahorrea splurge all about?

JTL has been dumbed down enough. I do not WANT any more of this 'make JTL easier, lower the mass on this, up the mass on that, waah waah waah' crap. I want my A-wing vs TIE Interceptor back. I want to go back to the days of getting into space on a rustbucket and learning your way around the galaxy, instead of being pulled through it kicking and screaming in a Multiplayer ship, never even really seeing the inside of a cockpit until you get your first X-wing or whatever.

Seriously, do you read a post, or just make a random troll and then read it?

The way I read it, your dumbing down line was QFE with Kayl's own feelings about it following. Not an attack on you but actually a support.

Anyway, Kayl, what times are you in-game? (including time-zone). You're in dire need of a humbling experience to keep that ego in check

Reverse engineering is the way to get those guns to fit.

I don't recall the mass or stats of each components but here is my crimson tie 80k mass

lev 9 RE weapon

lev 7 player made engine (the new & improved variety)

lev 7 RE shield

lev 4 RE capacitor

lev 1 droid interface

lev 1 reactor

Sensory decoy countermeasure

It all fits perfectly. This ship is nearly untouchable by any NPC, including the 5 gunboats at the end of one of the 3 new tier 5 duties. The only problem with it is, I burn out the lev 1 reactors in less than a weeks time.

Gimme a goddamned break, you want weapons crammed in single man ships that outpower the POB weapons that only fit on multiplayer vessels? If anything, level 9 and 10 loot guns need a MASSIVE increase in mass to keep the balance between fighters and light capitalsmore meaningful.

Mk 7 Crafted Shields: 1965 F/B, 9.6 regen, 16894 mass (My crafted shields are SO nice.. with better Grav fiberpl I could possible break 2k strenght)

Mk 2 RE Capacitor: 39.4 regen, 952 max, 1774 mass

Mk 1 RE Interface: 14.8 speed, 505 mass

Mk7 RE Weapon: 1997-3070damage, 0.65/0.64 vs, 0.31 refire, 15045 mass (Another Imperial reward gun)

Any suggestions would be welcomed...

With regard to the idea of it being to hard/easy after RoTW... I mastered 8 of the 9 pilots pre-RoTW, 6 of these was solo from start to end (including Storm) While Imperial ships were sub-par compared to the other factions ships, I didnt have any problems whatsoever, even starting from scratch in a LD TIE (Ofcourse I was able to exchange parts on the go being SWright

Back when I had an oppressor, I had lvl 9 guns in it, no biggy. They were even crafted. Of course I did not have lvl 9, engines, shields, or armor though.
