So now we get to nominate people for corr, correct?

Unfortunately, the community doesn't nominate a corr, SOE selects one from those who apply. On the plus side, I think they've done a good job on selecting Pilot Corrs so far.

Um... yes, I'm aware of that. It seems to be a tradition, though, for the community to nominate corrs when an old one leaves.

I figured you knew that, which is why I pulled your name off the reply. Wanted to state that disclaimerfor those newer pilots who might not know that.

Aaww, I never got to duel you. Oh well.

Good luck. You've been an excellent correspondant and very level headed. Sorry to see you go and wish you luck with whatever you're doing currently IRL etc.

So we need a new correspondant?

Halyn is one of the most level headed, seasoned pilots around. Vote him or Raja if Raja wants the job. Or Washell, because he is nifty too. I'dsuggest Higginsis but he's already the correspondant of the Chefs.

There are others of course, but the above are those who sprung to my mind as knowledgeable level headed, unassuming folk.

(and yep I know SOE make the decision, but I'm just providing input for the hell of it)

Well, guys. To paraphrase the bards, "It's time to pass the torch; I'm too old to rock, no more rocking for me. I'm taking myself to a home, but I hope you'll sing a song about me."

I'm retiring. There's a number of reasons, but the only important one is I don't have time anymore, for the game or even for the forums. Not as much as you deserve in a correspondent, anyway. This community's large in number and peerless in spirit, and it needs someone who can devote much more time to it than I can these days.

I have to say, being you all's correspondent has been my single most rewarding experience with SWG. The pilot community is endlessly helpful, funny, and thoughtful. That made it both very easy for me to do my job and very hard to leave.

But it's time. There are any number of people here who would do a great job with the spot, and I encourage anyone interested to apply. There are times it's a frustrating job, but with this community, it's always worth it.

Good luck, everyone. It's been a pleasure.

Can I have your stuff?

Just kidding... or am I?

Anyways, I'm sad to see you go. You were one of the first people on Starsider who was really enthusiastic about space, and I'm going to miss the discussions about space we used to have, and the back and forth of trying to one-up each other's RE'd components. Good luck it whatever you're moving on to.

Since I'm only hanging onto this game by JTL, I must also thank you. Your tenure for correspondency made me greatful to be a part of the piloting community. **Hangs Tomo Plaque up on community wall of fame**

I personally feel that f a pilot perma-quits their stuff should be buried along with them (providing they're dead of course) much like the vikings did.
