The Advanced X-wing deed is a reward for completing the Kashyyyk space station quests as a Rebel pilot. The last mission, taken from the Rebel Space Station in Kashyyyk and request by telling the station "I'm looking for a challenge!", is to disable a Corvette and escort it back to the station. The enemy spawns start as mixed tier 2-4 fighters, but eventually Tier 5 Rebel Gunboats join the mix, armed with missiles . Three such boats spawned for me in total, but I was still able to beat the mission. The gunboats, once they expended their missiles, just couldn't hurt the vette -- they weren't shooting their lasers at the reactor, just at general locations across the body. Thus, the vette just plodded along its merry way while I shunted my capacitor around 100 times to stay alive. Of course, the gunboats didn't despawn when the mission succeeded, and proceeded to kill me three times while I tried to make it back to the station... so I guess it evened out .

The reward is the Advanced X-wing: identical hardpoints to her smaller cousin, but with a chassis of 2000 and mass of 180k. *whistle*

Im having some issues starting this mission. Please give me a hand.

I have chosen the 'Im looking for a challenge' mission. It says find a YT1300 that is flying near the station. I go to it and /comm. It says keep up the good work. What do I do next???

Thanks for the heads up, looking into this issue.

Another clarification, since I saw it mentioned further up this thread: the ship modifications do not increase the mass of your ship, or add to its performance. They are just a little something extra for the body of your ship. Its like painting a racing stripe on your ship---it just looks faster

Thanks.

So none of the new ships (mainly the variants of Tie and Wing) are actually better or different? Thats too bad. Is there an ETA on when new ships like the ones alreay in game will be available for players, such as the Shuttles or Gun Boats? Now those would rock. :-)

I just hit a bunch of buttons and hope everything works out.

That explains it.

The heavy xwing.. is not a chassis modfication via strakes then like the ROTW pre release info would lead some of us ( *cough* me) to beleive.

So.... zee strakes... zey do nothing!

Okay... to clear some confusion up:

There is completely new ship chassis for the heavy scyk, heavy Z95 and heavy Tie Fighter. These are crafted by shipwrights and have around 95k mass but the same maneuverability as the starter ships. They have winglets applied to them who are only cosmetical and can not be removed.

Additionally, there are quests out there to get a deed for the heavier Tie Advanced, heavy X-Wing and Royal Guard Tie Interceptor. I assume all these ships have 80k more mass and the same maneuverability as the original ships. These ships have cosmetical winglets as well.

Furthermore you seem to be able to install winglets/strokes into regular X-Wings and Tie Advanceds (not the new heavy ones). These winglets do not add any mass and are just cosmetical.

Spike01 -

I went to the Reble station as well and only had the option to go overt. It appears that there is a Rebel mission on the ground that needs to be done first. Now to just find out where that is at....

Who do we talk to on the ground?

The same person from the space missions tells me I can run (basically) duty missions...and space tells me to talk to that same person on the ground to look for more missions.
